looks like all the chasers are hauling ass to dallas/ftworth now actually
Way too early to tell, it will be a few days before an official classification comes out. The problem isn't entirely in the size of the tornado, it is how long it stays on the ground. Went through a similar storm on April 27, 2011 when we had an EF-4 stay on the ground for over 100 miles. It is some intense shit, but the community is much stronger now since then.
Pauls Valley about to get a nasty looking cell, south of Moore.
Saw bits of this on CNN while I was at lunch. Absolutely insane how that one school was just destroyed. This + Superstorm Sandy = why i'll take the randomness of an earthquake any day of the week.
Nevermind.
CNN saying 6 dead now.
they're literally only confirming deaths reporters are saying they personally witnessed
also a water treatment plant in moore lost power, DO NOT USE WATER if you're in that general area atm
also just for those that don't know...
^ hit moore in 1999
that's also the one where because of the video from the andover tornado of people hiding under overpasses (which is bad) and surviving, a bunch of people hid under them as it went up the highway, it hit 3 overpasses and killed at least one person at each
