I did real well not zooming in. Some places I just used the geography to guess. Since there's no compass I was usually on the wrong coast because of the directions (ie, which way is that flag blowing... given the time of day where is the sun in the sky).

I beg to differ. Mine started with a huge sign that had the mall plaza and the town name. Was easy to zoom in and find it in Australia.

I've gotten between 10-12k every single time, and the closest I came was 2km (thanks to a sign saying a certain town was 2km away).

I have also learned that every language on earth is spoken and written in South America. Seriously I've seen French, Italian, Russian, English, and German signs from places that were down there.

When it puts you on the top of a mountain with NOWHERE to go, that makes it just a little difficult. Luckily there was a sign I was able to zoom in on that was in korean, so I was at least able to narrow it down to the mountains of south korea. But wtf, that's just cheating.
