PS4 vs Xbox One

I'm not sure what PS4's bonus perk will be. X1's voice-controlled TV shit sounds decent if for some reason you still own a cable/satellite box that's compatible, since their interfaces tend to be slow/horrible. Can't just bank everything on the games these days. E3 will be interesting at any rate.

With Vita having 'small apps' that can run in a suspended state (or active, like Skype) alongside a game, I would hope PS4 would have similar functionality or better, since I like the concept of Juan's Windows8 metro-like environment for multi-tasking on a console.

Microsoft has a press conference on June 10th as well, about the XOne. Sony's is in the morning/afternoon, before Microsoft's at night. There isn't any solid info on what it's even about tbh. Could just be a simple presser.

They already know what XOne screwed up on this time, so they could capitalize on that before Microsoft can try to bring out more info. Then crush them at E3 even more.

I think at one point there was a rumor of Sony doing one to counter the Juan reveal, but with 2 weeks til E3 I guess that never happened. So yeah its full steam ahead to E3 at this point. I can't wait, I just don't know what I'll do without G4 in the background all day...

I bought my PS3 around FFXIII launch, I had to drive halfway to D.C. (I'm 45min away from it) to find a Best Buy with a PS3 in stock. And that was what, over a year after release?

Unfortunately the one thing that will keep the Juan afloat will be the Halo and sports games. It's not a bad thing, just seems like such a narrow revenue stream to focus on. Also I believe that by setting the hardware spec cap so low for one system, multiplatform games will suffer on the PS3, unless the developers are smart (lol) and cater to both systems separately by developing good scaling engines.

lol I remember capitalizing on the dvd player part to convince my dad to let my mom buy me one. There were cheaper dvd players out there, but it was Sony, so that kinda boosted its image.

If it was for FFXIII's launch, then it was 4 years after launch. FFXIII came out a few months after the slim first launched (it's when I first got my PS3).

or 30 FPS Nextbox vs 60 FPS PS4.... or stuttering frames Nextbox vs Fluid frames PS4.... not everything is graphics... look how some ps3 games drop frames this gen.
