While it may be mobile only, hopefully this is more them realizing doing 10 different genres of games off of one IP isn't the best use of resources.

I bet they could have abandoned at least 2 more original game engines if not for the time spent on this.

I'm fairly sure they mentioned wanting to branch Type0 of as it's own set of FF games, similar to how FFXIII was..so this will be interesting to see.
