Stars Align is recruiting for FFXIV: A Realm Reborn. Are you ready to reap the rewards of surviving the Battle of Carteneau? Ready to feel, hear, think? Don't know what any of that means but are interested in learning from people who spend way too much time thinking about video game storylines?

Is it a linkshell? Is it a Free Company? Probably the latter but definitely the former! For the uneducated non-Legacy, not-paying-attentionist people here, a linkshell in XIV is a social chat channel while a Free Company is closer to your standard MMO Guild.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of PUGs; tired of bads; tired of trying to play with twelve friends across four servers. So come on down to Stars Align!

Enough of the salesman spiel; I'm not the kind of guy who hits #1 on the DPS meter, nor the dude who gets world firsts. What I'm driving at here is that I don't plan, nor do I expect, to log in and kill Odin DAY ONE. I'm content with winning regularly, being #4 on the meter and achieving victory only slightly ahead of the plebeian masses. I'm past my prime and I don't wake up to my cellphone going off at 3 AM to fight Tiamat anymore. Usually I'm already awake at 3 AM and have little desire to fight dragons cuz that shit is old hat. (I can run you to Tiamat's pop spot from the Mea Crystal with my eyes closed though)

I CANNOT GIVE YOU WINS.

BUT PERHAPS I CAN GIVE YOU BANTER.

I'm no Isladar, this probably isn't gonna get funny any time soon. I should also warn you I have a horrible track record. That's okay though, because this isn't just about me: it's about you! joining me playing video gaem

I(we) want bros that are willing to listen, to play the game, to not necessarily bend over backwards for that last 0.02% of the parse, but isn't going to melee as a Red Mage either.

You gotta believe! No Teamspeak? No problem! YET. Though, I guess, we don't even have a Teamspeak at [name pending]. What I'm saying is, if you're a *cough*girl*cough* and don't wanna look like a crazy person barking at your computer you don't have to be. I want to be though. It'll also probably be very helpful. Now that I'm thinking about this, you might have to voice chat cuz how can you kill Patchwerk without voice chat?

I expect almost nothing from you except that you're interesting and not stupid or needlessly stubborn.

I don't know how or what the future holds for A Realm Reborn. It could be like 1.0 and be all but dead after release, or it could be the second coming of Christ, but by Jove I've got Legacy and I'm gonna play it until my legacy discount pays for my CE pre-order.

I'm not gonna try to sugarcoat this: I want to raid, I want to slay the dragon, and I want to do it with people who aren't awful.

To recap: We'll be on Excalibur come release, but the majority of us are testing Phase 3 on our Legacy characters which are stuck on Durandal. If the game contains anything which needs to be scheduled it will be based on EST--though I do believe there's a handful of EUs and whatnot sprinkled in here since the realization of our great and grand Montreal-based NA/EU servers.

if I wasn't working 12 hour days I'd be on vent more often

go home and don't want to go on the PC! now that my stupid laptop failed on me I won't be using that til I get it replaced so I'm back to my glorious PC that never fails me (which has vent.)
