I get it but this chart feels way too complicated for what it's going for.

Yep, I totally agree Krandor. Not at all taking away from the fact that CB feels to me like the most complex weapon in the series yet, this flowchart would scare the shit out of me if I was a new player trying to figure it out with just this to look at. Gaijin did a far better job of showing its intricacies while still making it seem very approachable.

lol, that flowchart looks almost as bad as some sequence of operation flowcharts i've seen XD been watching some mh4 videos, and as excited as I am for it, the Insect Glaive almost feels like it can trivialize most fights on the same level as multiple Great Kelbi Bows did D: 4 insect glaives pole vault spamming and pretty much keeping the monsters trip locked, obviousle doesn't work on the extreme versions, but still lol

I'd say that might be true later on, when you can really make that Super Kinsect. My understanding though is that it is pretty damned expensive, and you won't even be upgrading your early IG until well into the higher ranks. So I suppose that offsets things a bit. I do agree that it feels that way in the demo for sure, I did far better with the IG times wise than most other weapons. If you can pull off getting R/W/O pretty often for that boost, you can tear things up.

Edit - I like how I opted to NOT have Beginner tips enabled, and every time I complete one of the starting 1* quests, the Guildmarm is all like "See that Red Box Doodle? you can turn in your items there!" -.-'
