Random people online suck horribly at Dalamadur. Ended up having to solo it, what an absurdly long fight.

There's a spot you can stand on the lowest section of the fight where you can hit him most of the time, and if you know what to expect you can avoid any attacks that come your way, I managed to solo him last night by standing there, took 46 minutes lol, I had rough RNG though and he kept moving in the one pattern I couldn't hit him in

Not that it's a bad drop chance, but getting talon off the very first Joe I fought is a nice feeling.

and did it unlock the Arena fight vs joe?

Caravan Joe, and I didn't get any message about arena unlocks. Frenzy Joe wasn't nearly as awful as I thought it would be. He still gets tired just as often, and truth be told his hitboxes seem a little friendlier then in 3/3U

Ok so I got a few quests in here and there to get at least some remnant of armor (seriously work just gets in the way and I can't play as often) but I think it's time I step online. Let's see how this goes.

Btw any Android users, there is a very good database app available now.

It's not on the market but can get it on github. If you're at all concerned about security the app has zero permissions.

Area maps (with nodes), weakness charts, drops sorted by rank with % and all that jazz. Only thing I've noticed it missing is listing out the skills for the entire armor set while you're viewing an individual piece, but that's a minor complaint.

Ok online was a blast but man do you get tripped up easily. I was doing my best to try and keep my attacks straight and not knock people over, but damn 2 long sword players just start wide sweeping like crazy and knock everyone over. And mounting is a ton of fun when you pull it off.

For anyone that is no lifing this like me, and have hands that get sweaty from time to time... I picked these up and they are excellent. There are a few that aren't as grippy, but the #6 cover is perfect. #3 is good too. Btw I am using this on my n3DS not on the circle pad pro. It obviously works on the left stick too since they are the same size.

Anyone looking to meld up some Rank 8-10 talismans, the double Seltas 8* quest is stupidly easy for G Rank, and I've gotten 2-3 each of Vile and Pure Frenzy Crystals for each run.

Takes me like 6-7 minutes solo with a Switch Axe (for pure Ham mode, just mashing X in Sword mode will basically stagger lock the bugs once you get them grounded).

Interesting. I always used the infinite combo (X in 3U; X, A, X, etc. in 4U). What SA are you using?

I was using the General's Strongaxe. I know the X, A, etc is better but it was a matter of being lazy because I was able to body the fight so easily.

Finally finished my HR Gore set tonight. Going to do some Hall quests tomorrow evening to rank up; somewhere around 6pm.

Need to get up to HR7 in order to get S Magala parts to upgrade my IG. Anyone that wants to join in is welcome, otherwise I'm going to go with some randoms.

That app is a godsend. I take my 3ds with me when I go out and the app lets me super fast check weaknesses or if I need to capture/kill for shit. Very handy.

Depends on what you're looking to pair with it. Athena comes up with 1045 solutions at HR8 & 8*.

Generally it's:
Skull Head (or anything with Torso Inc)
Remobra Body S
Garuga Vambraces (or anything with 3 slots)
Ranger's Faulds
Remobra Feet
-----------------
1x Catalyst Jewel 3
7 slots spare (2+2+3)

And that's without any slots on charm. If you have any 3 slot charm you can slot in at least one other skill.

If you can get a Free Element charm this gives AuL and Awaken at HR8/8*:
Rathalos Cap S
Remobra Body S
Rathalos Vambraces
Tigrex Faulds S
Remobra Feet
