Kingdom Hearts III - Pre-Order Now To Unlock The Magic - January 29, 2019!

Nothing big, but SE seem to have showed some new stuff about KH III at the KH2.5 launch event

Brand new Kingdom Hearts III footage has been confirmed by our very own Sign, Master Spockanort and Zephyr who are currently attending the launch event for Kingdom Hearts -HD 2.5 ReMIX-!

Some of the new footage includes:

-Sora is seen in his Kingdom Hearts II Valor form outfit, no new outfit reveal.
-Land of Departure from Birth by Sleep has been confirmed in the new footage and is said to be massive.
-Brand new Heartless designs have also been shown, described to look like "gladiators".
-Textures for new Heartless are incomplete.
-Land of Departure has been revamped; main building now very closely resembles a tower seen in the Kingdom Hearts browser game χ[chi].
-Sora's Keyblade is confirmed to transform into dual guns.
-Sora's dual guns then transform into a cannon.
-Sora is seen in a library/study, facing a large window with curtains. What looks like chess pieces line the window ledge with crown and heart tops.
-The lighting for the game is incredibly beautiful. Sora is bathed in a soft glow while standing in front of the window.
-The footage is raw and very unlikely to be released online to the public soon.
- Huge applause for Birth by Sleep footage in the pre-show trailers!
- The letter "chi" was on a blackboard within the library/study in the KH3 footage
- The letters "CT" could be seen under the Land of Departure-looking world. Looks similar to LoD but possibly is not the world.
- Built on what looks like a hilly area with lots of homes and buildings on them.
- Valor Form and Wisdom Form were definitely the outfits Sora switched between

Hold it guys. I'm actually on the forums there; those outfits might be placeholders, so take that "forms are back" with a grain of salt. Also it's subject to change, there was speculation that Castle Oblivion was the datascape one too.

Does NOT mean his clothes won't change tho; My personal theory is b/c he basically got the pride/cocky knocked out of him in DDD, he's going to grow up/change. Which I bet you will cause his clothes, since they react to his heart, to do a Pokemon and evolve/change, along with their powers. I think if his clothes change, it'll have to do with keyblade transformations, so you can say that's kinda form change but not really.

Let's hope that a "more mature Sora" doesn't mean a angsty Sora. Bleech. Angsty heroes are way overdone, and I'd rather see him keep his cheerful attitude, just lose the getting tricked so easy and get a bit more serious, not to mention smarter so he thinks things through a little more.

I really liked Final Form but it was so goddamn useless by the time you got it.

I wouldn't call it useless but you get it so late and it's a pain in the dick to level up for how many meaningful things you can use it on. Perhaps it's more useful in Final Mix, I haven't started 2.5 yet.

in FM it has so many uses, nearly every data fight if you use it properly (reflega, firaga) you will burn right through nearly every single one of them because it deals so much damage.

Terra gets wrecked by it as well, and there are a few mushroom fights where it's useful as well.

No way this is going to come out before 1.5/2.5 PS4/XBONE Ports and FFXV.

He probably meant KH3D. They're possibly doing some Final Mix additions for the HD version so he had to record some new lines.

I am definitely expecting a Dream Drop Distance remaster coming out this year. There is no way they will keep everything else remade and then let people deal with it as they roll into KH3... The story in 3D is way too important to just skip.

There's also a bunch of scenes from 3D in the credits of the 2.5 collection. And there's that "one KH a year" rule going on since 3D's original release.

Yep, anyone that believes that and XV will be out in 2015 or 2016 is tbh. Gotta make sure to get that FFVII PC port to the PS4 then to the Xbox One out first. Then have to make sure to port FFVIII PC to the PS4 and Xbox one, then yet another FFIV port on mobile/handhelds.
