I'll buy 2019 or 2020, the game was announce way too early and its clear its due to their investors, same with FF7 RE being around the same time.

I don't think so. There's going to be a huge drought of big budget JRPGs by the time this and FF7R come out.

I know this game was announced way tooo early but I was still under the impression we'd get small bits of news like, confirmed worlds or summons or something.

We did for the first little while, like confirming Big Hero 6 and etc. But all those teases have long since dried up. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a big trailer/reveal at E3 this year

All teaser images we have of KH3 are of one world, Olympus that either means one of three things. Development is very slow that they're only nearly complete with one world, or two worlds are really fucking big this time around and we can expect more than 10-20 minutes of game play per world visit, there aren't going to be that many worlds to visit in this game and will depend on repeated gameplay of going back to worlds like DDD

Or, Nomura was spread way too thin (we know this) and SE pulled him from from XV and FF7R too late for the initial schedules, so now everything is 1-2 years behind.

I think its an issue that KH3 was originally announced to be out by now, but the development schedule has been pushed so far back that much like Versus XIII this is not the same KH3 that was announced way back when.

That seems more then plausible. Game was announced when? Back in 2015? You would think they would have more to show after 2 years then they do now, but given Nomura's involvement with 2 other projects it does make sense

I'm saying comparing it to P5 and Nier doesnt matter because by the time KH3 comes out, it's not going to be competing with anything. There's going to be a drought of those type of games when it does come out, so it's going to look amazing because there's not going to be anything relevant to compare it to.

I see, though I still disagree with you.

Not in a financial sense but when you look at games overall, especially when you narrow the view down to things related to RPGs it still has to be a net positive experience over Persona 5 or Automata or FFXV. Further down FF7R has to be better than those and potentially KH3 too, though I'm being overly optimistic because of P5 and Automata.

I mean if it comes out this year it'll be a pretty easy comparison when looking at games overall for the year.
