With today’s release of the gameplay overview video, Kingdom Hearts and Disney fans can find out everything they need to know to master the powerful Keyblades and help the light prevail against the darkness ahead of the launch of Kingdom Hearts III on January 29, 2019.

As the Heartless invade the universe, players must prepare Sora and his friends to protect the Disney and Pixar worlds against darkness and unlock the mysterious power of the Keyblades, which only the strong of heart can wield. For the first time in the Kingdom Hearts series, the Keyblades have the ability to transform into different forms with powerful new abilities and dazzling attacks inspired by the characters and elements of each world.

Players can also learn how to use elemental magic for offensive and defensive purposes, such as creating ice slides and wind vortexes to navigate through the chaos in battle. Taking the form of classic Disney rides, players can utilize the power of the Attractions, or team up with Donald, Goofy and other legendary characters from Disney and Pixar worlds to turn the tides against the darkness.

If you've only played KH1 you need way more than a 5 min video. I would recommend this one if you are serious about wanting to get into it




It goes start to finish chronologically and not the order of the games.

So I watched this video and just laughed at how convoluted all this shit is LOL. I watched a couple reviews of KH3 and people were like yeah there is a story but really it doesn’t matter because it’s just fun running around the Disney world and having fun with the characters and I’m completely fine with that. I think I can enjoy it for what it is without worrying about story beats.

Same. I watched it yesterday. I just really enjoy the gameplay of it. I'll just take the general understanding I gained from that video and have a good time.

I played through 0.2 yesterday. It's way less confusing than the hour long re-cap videos make it out to be and really did set everything up. It's only 3 hours so if you have the bundle that has that game then definitely check it out.

Thinking the 0.2 and maybe Dream Drop Distance? I sorta of want to go back and play BBS since I only finished one route back in the day.

Finished kh1 last week, wasted well over 8 hours being stuck, retrying, and going back to grinding. Playing on proud cause I'm stubborn.

CoM, on the other hand, has been a complete breeze on proud. Yeah I might lose to a boss once or twice, but it's a lot easier to pick up their pattern and build a deck to destroy them. At least so far. 6 floors down in 5 hours. Hoping to finish this one in under 20. (Sub 15 would be nice)

Not looking forward to KH2... At this rate I'll be ready for KH3 in a few months... Maybe. Damn procrastination.

There is no critical mode at the start, completed main story in roughly 23hours watching all cutscenes but not really grinding and going into the final world 14 levels under its recommended battle difficulty.

No critical mode after completing the game, and after watching epilogue. Secret movie coming the 31st maybe it will get patched in then. Optional boss is a fun challenge, got to phase 2 .. time for a nap.

I did like what I played of the GBA one. I think I just have to be in a certain mood/mindset for KH games. I was trying it while wrapping up the main story of DQ11.
