Holy shit yes, total goosebumps during that bit
I was disappointed it was kind of hit and miss on the disney music. Like, we got an instrumental of "You Got A Friend In Me" in Toy Story land but then generic shit during the Tangled level.
Also IMDB says that Woody was voiced by Jim Hanks, the rl brother of Tom Hanks, lol
There have been some spicy situations with standard but overall mashing X and Triangle have led the way.
Probably the spicest moment was doing Pirates and immediately going straight to the end w/o leveling the ship at all. Then I remembered the triangle button existed.
Za and attractions are way too powerful. I hope they do something about their frequency and damage output. Even at lv.10 they are way too strong when in a lv.53 world..
I pretty much don't use attractions are they are OP and annoying and take my out of the flow of the battle. If i could turn them off I would.
Beat the secret boss. Only have the side stuff for platinum trophy now, but finding all the remaining chests in the last 2 Disney worlds is kind of boring.
Fight took a few tries. It's last 33% took a few attempts since his battle patterns change and was throwing a move out that I couldn't avoid reliably. It wasn't really difficult overall. Capped myself at Lv. 50 for it. There were some frame drops occasionally when they did specific attacks (OG PS4). Outside of that, I don't think I really dropped FPS during my whole playthrough.
This game's Ultima Weapon is probably the best looking Ultima Weapon in the series, in my opinion.
Thirding or w/e standard is easy so far. I only just got to Twilight Town, but I figured I don't get much time to play so I'd do an easier difficulty. Attraction commands are dumb, they appear on basically every engagement. They were interesting at first, but I was kinda over them by the time I got to the end of Olympus.
I think the combat flows really well otherwise. It feels so much better to me than previous installments. I haven't played the later installments, like 2.9 or w/e. Not sure if it's basically the same as those. Other than the mess of cutscenes at the start, it's been really fun so far. Only 3 hours in.
So thankful that 100 Acre Woods seems to be done in one go this time around instead of constantly having to come back to it.
Is that just the movie at the start?
What was the one with Aqua?
Ahhh got it. I saw the 2.9 thing while playing and couldn't remember when it was.
Yeah, I really haven't played a KH game before and I suck at action rpg and figured Normal would be the way to go. I will probably wind up doing a second playthrough on Proud.
Random irritation I had with the game... does anyone else use inverted Y-axis controls for certain things in games and have an absolute nightmare with this game in certain sections?
There's like... 5 different Y-axis settings (3 in normal game config, 2 in gummi ship config, I think) and I never found anything that was comfortable 100% of the time. I continuously had problems at various points in the game when the vantage points would change (3rd person combat vs aiming reticule combat vs underwater navigation and gummi ship 3D flying vs gummi ship on-rails battles). The gummi ship stuff was the absolute worst for me, and I eventually just had to set all the Y-axis settings to "Normal" and just get used to it.
Did anyone else encounter that problem, or is my brain just garbage at changing perspectives? (I assume it's the latter, but I'm curious if anyone else had problems)
It is confusing which is why I usually try to just keep everything consistent. Though having come from playing AC: Unknown Skies to this I kinda wanted to switch but with everything the game does doing so is just unnecessary mind fuck.
I'd recommend at least keeping water and normal controls consistent since you switch between them pretty rapidly at times.
The only one that really throws me for a loop is when I hold R1 for the flowshot or whatever it's called targeting. That reticle ends up all over the place even when I remind myself of the reversed axis.
Random complaint: Fuck the banana flan.

Saw this post right as I was going back to try the banana guy. Thanks for the tip.

I've been playing on Proud, and while I have not finished it yet like a lot of people(!), I can admit this is stupid easy for how proud mode has been in the previous titles. Think I have died maybe 3x so far and I'm on Frozen world
