Wants to be the next Uncharted
Dead Rising 3 will have Uncharted-level fidelity for Dead Rising 3, according to senior producer Jason Leigh. Speaking to OXM, Leigh said it will ‘feel like that kind of game’ no matter the angle.

“We kind of cram in the fidelity that you’d expect from a linear experience like Uncharted,” Leigh said, “and we try and do it everywhere so regardless of the angle you’re taking through the world, it feels like you’re playing that kind of game. [Our design team] has essentially hand-crafted spaces. You’re not going to come across a cookie-cutter sort of world.”

Interiors will be rendered as in-detail as exteriors, according to Leigh. The “majority of spaces are enterable,” he said.

Zombies are randomly generated in Dead Rising 3, and beause of this, you’ll see some diverse undead roaming about.

“Because our scarring system, clothing system, and the body/head systems are all randomized, you could potentially see many permutations,” Leigh said. “They’re not all pre-modelled.”

Capcom Vancouver released a new title update today for “Dead Rising 3” in advance of tomorrow’s launch of the game’s first DLC episode, ‘Operation Broken Eagle.’ The update introduces a host of improvements to single-player and co-op gameplay, including a variety of performance and stability upgrades, and fixes for issues related to achievements, UI updates, SmartGlass and more. Additionally, it adds a new impulse trigger feature that notifies players when they are running low on ammo.

Players eager to jump straight into the DLC Episode tomorrow are encouraged to download and install the title update today. For a full list of title update fixes and an in-depth Q&A with “Dead Rising 3” Executive Producer Josh Bridge, visit Xbox Wire.

Launching tomorrow, ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ is the first episode in the “Untold Stories of Los Perdidos” DLC series. This single-player episode puts you in control of Spec Ops Commander Adam Kane on a mission that challenges everything he believes and sets him out to capture the missing President of the United States. ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ will cost £7.99 and features a new mission, five new weapons, one new combo weapon, one new vehicle, a new clothing outfit, plus additional Gamerscore and the ability to carry experience points back to “Dead Rising 3.”

Since the game launched last November, “Dead Rising 3” players have killed more than 16 billion zombies – more than twice the world population of people – and have logged more than 14 million hours of gameplay. With stats like these, it should be no surprise that “Dead Rising 3” is now the third best-selling Xbox One title and the fifth best-selling title across next-generation platforms.

Zombie-hungry fans looking for a way to play even more “Dead Rising 3” can obtain the “Dead Rising 3” Season Pass, which includes ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ and the three additional upcoming content packs for £23.99 – a 25% discount compared to purchasing them individually. Each episode will feature new gameplay, playable characters, missions, weapons, and more.

it is, which is kind of ridiculous, BUT a lot of it overwrites existing install data, the net size increase is only 2-3 gigs. still a huge ass download though and sucks if you've got bandwidth caps etc

So I got this game recently. Was able to play about 30 minutes of it until I got to a check point. Now every time I load the game and open this one door to start the next sequence or whatever the game crashes. Sends me straight back to the dashboard.

I went to Target and exchanged the disc for another one but the same thing still happens. What do? Uninstall and reinstall? Or is it time to send my xbox in?

Do they still have the ridiculous time constraints in game? Or are you able to free roam without missing major plot points?

They're not as crazy as in 2, but there's still some time restrictions.

Can you change outfits with DLC characters? I assume you can't, but I think this is the first time a Dead Rising game has had a playable lady and it would be a shame if none of the female clothing could get put to good use. Especially in this game now that they're putting stuff in like the cashmere sweater or female business outfit that are neither good looking or funny on Nick.
