DZ was a terrible experience because the TTK in PvP is a fucking joke. Case in point:

There's no reason it should take multiple magazines to down an enemy and another mag to finish them off.

The amount of bullet spongeyness is pretty unbelievable. I hope this ends up turning into what Destiny wasn't, but I'm still way up on the fence. Not gonna be fooled twice.
That guy's aim was terrible, you could down someone in one clip with a good Assault Rifle if you hit mostly headshots or caught them with the Sticky Grenade. It also only takes one melee to kill someone who's downed, dumping ammo into them is a waste. Or just use a Sniper Rifle and murder everybody in one or two shots.
Stuff that was your level didn't feel spongy to me at all. Stuff above your level will.
People arent that spongy in the game unless your gear/aim is shit. The only spongy part is shooting downed people but they die in 1 melee hit which is something I don't understand but I'm assuming it's for balance and revives.
Interview with a developer about the PC version and surprise surprise, they admit "We do have to kind of keep it in check with consoles because it would kind of be unfair just to push it so far away from them."
What's the release date for this?

So from once to...never?Refresh rate on DarkZone chests has been greatly reduced.
I got to open a chest or two (loot chests) like once my first time in, the second time in I opened pretty much all of them because the servers had just came up.
I opened them when I was in a group because they actually seemed to refresh...but I'm not sure if they were refreshing or if somehow new people to the group who hadn't opened chests allowed us all to re-open them. I'm not convinced they refreshed faster.
Aside from that, I never once in roughly 12 hours of solo gameplay saw a chest refresh.
Other chests that contain grenades/health packs/bio material, those refresh.
Fuck refreshing, I just wanted one of them to open. I was once running around with 4 keys and not a damn one wanted to open.
I didn't spend much time in the DZ when I was playing the beta ... how do those chests work? Sort of like FFXI coffers?
I assume like Destiny chests but I don't know the comparative refresh rates.
Essentially, none of them opened after my first time opening them. That was over a 48h+ period.
Full game is 32.29 GB on XBone (Beta is 27 GB)

What system is everyone playing this on? I've been keeping an eye on it and am going to try out the beta. Wondering if people on PC are using a controller anyway or if mouse/keyboard controls were decent. I'm terrible at aiming with a controller... Didn't play much more than the first two Gears games with a controller as far as shooters go.
I play on PC. Part of the reason PC is the "master race" is keyboard/mouse precision. They work marvelously in The Division.
Nah, seems fine once you get good at taking cover and breaking cover. It can be kind of awkward until you get the hang of that I guess.
