I put mine in the uPlay client and it took it just fine. You have to log into uPlay, open the client, and click the "3 bar" icon at the top left. Under there, choose "Activate Product" and put in the code, then click "Activate".

The email with my X1 code said it wouldn't be redeemable until the game launched. I tried anyway and it didn't work so I'm assuming the email was correct. It may be different for the PC client.

After the beta I don't think this is a day 1 buy for me anymore. Enemy AI and DZ Rogue system really put me off but I'll wait and see what happens after launch.

What he means to say is that Beta pre-load is available. It's about 1.6GB bigger than the closed beta. For PS4 users, the button on the site doesn't redirect to the correct page. Instead go to this page to grab the beta.

It's kind of funny, there's a bit of a shitstorm going on on Reddit because people are listing these codes for sale on eBay. Kinda stupid to make it US-only.

Gonna try the open beta out but as someone who sucks at pvp and aims like a drunk guy this game probably isn't for me, right?

Remains to be seen how much non-Dark Zone endgame content is actually there, so if you're really not looking to ever touch the Player vs Player aspect of the Dark Zone, you might want to hold off and see what it looks like after release.
