So the process of loot trading seems pretty strict.
Only with the people who were there when the drop occured can you trade with for those items.

That's better than not being able to trade at all. Since this is really most relevant to "endgame," which you're likely running with a standard team, it's a really nice addition. You can make sure your friends have the weapons/gear they need and take care of each other.

I understand their reasoning, and actually agree with them. A larger benefit to close knit teams or at least friends get together on ocassion. It will also keep out the mercenary for hire idea, possibly.

Yeah it encourages playing with a team, which I like.

Not sure it'll keep out mercenaries, though. Might have people going through just for X drop and carrying the others through.
