I'm about to head back into the DZ if anyone wants to jump in.
It's launch week? I mean I really don't get when people are so mad when pretty much ANY game doesn't launch without issues. It's literally every game now. Does it suck? Sure. Can I go play something else for a few days til all the bullshit gets worked out? Absolutely.
You'd think that they'd at least have done a level of QA that would ensure you can make it through the beginning stages of the game though.
I didn't have any trouble and most glitches I've encountered were due to lag
Played for the first time tonight; haven't had a single issue on PS4, including laptop or doorways. Got to Manhattan and messed around for a bit. I'm having a pretty good time. I also died on the first mission like 3x because I kept approaching it like a Destiny zerg fest; going to have to learn some patience.
PC people add me on uPlay afmxer im lvl16 atm ganking fools.
I'm just doing the campaign and this game definitely has addicting qualities. The only reason I got this on release was I got two Hitman codes for free and sold them. I've been having more fun in this than Fallout 4. One problem I'm having is aiming though and I think it's possibly due to using a shit mouse pad. My mouse is a Logitech G602 and is comfy and works well. I'll probably get a new mouse pad and see if that helps.
Don't bother doing dailies unless you're a scrub or afraid to go in the DZ. Hard modes are ok, I guess, still not worth the time.
Challenge mode is literally a waste of time though. You get a Legendary, sure, but it takes so long to do so unless you all run Midas that it ends up being like 3-5 hours and in that time I could farm 250 Phoenix Credits (Or more, usually) in the DZ. I saw some faggots on reddit talking about how great it is, super fun thx for the challenge ubibros but I don't get it. Every wave of enemies is literally the same thing. Set up a fire robot, use incendiary ammo, run backwards as far as you can to kill shotgunners, kill other guys, repeat. Oh, and dodge grenades/seeker mines by the thousands.
I could see a coordinated group of people, as if I was raiding in a different MMO, doing pretty well but still not beating the credit earnings in the DZ.
The level of coordination/skill would be Wildstar at launch to do so though...and there weren't a whole lot of people capable of that.
I havent been able to play as much as I'd have liked to at this point, but I really like that I can pick it up for 15 minutes and finish a mission or several encounters. I had 20 mins this morning before I had to head to work and completed some of the nearby encounters, upgraded my wings a bit, and still made it to work on time.
Can I do the DZ as a low level or is it a waste of time until you're 30? If it's ok as a low level, is it a decent leveling activity or am I better off cranking on missions/side missions? I was a 90% PVP player in Destiny; realize it's a very different game after playing last night (reminds me of Mass Effect), but the DZ is appealing to me.
Also, is there a consolidated PSN list somewhere? Didn't see it on the first page.
You wont get regular level exp in the DZ. In the DZ you're just going to get DZ rank exp. It's better to go through the grind for level 30 and enter the DZ afterwards. The DZ drops good weapons and the like, but you'll blow through most of them during the leveling process.
That being said, you can certainly still go into the DZ at a lower level. The mobs will scale to your level and you'll be put in the instance with similarly ranked players as well.
Thanks, that's helpful. I find myself with a lot of dumb questions while playing this game.
So that Midas SMG looks overpowered as fuck.
Saw a thing on reddit about it. One of the devs responded that they're looking into changing it.
