No not really, but one of the first three missions gives a perk that increases your exp gain by 10%. Being level 8, I'm sure you're past that by now.

The Security mission if I remember correctly. A good place to start, but yeah, you're probably past that.

We had a BG group run DZ last night. Went pretty smoothly even when we ran into rogues.

This is true, but don't ignore the various Encounters for each branch of your base of ops. They don't give much in the way of supplies, but I hit level 30 finally last night and came up short of enough supplies to finish off the upgrades. I was like 200 something short on Medical and like 600 short on Tech, even doing a decent number of Encounters.

Oh, and fuck Grenadiers. Fuck them right in the anus.

The encounters can generally be done quickly too. Even if you leave them until level 28/29, you'll be able to blow through them quickly. For each neighborhood I generally unlock the safe house and then do the side missions in a cycle that makes sense then hit up the mission.

I'm lv23 now, hope to get at least 25 this evening and maybe I'll try to hop on again after dinner. Have to go to the in laws tomorrow morning through Sunday evening, but would really like to be around 26/27 if possible.

I got a blue tactical shotgun yesterday I was using. I was surprisingly satisfied with it, though I could definitely use a better magazine mod to increase the mag size. It's only got 7 shots per mag and my best mag mod only gets me to 9, maybe 10 now if I picked up anything new.

What have people been running with if they use a sniper as their main/long range weapon? I assume most of you 30s are using the Vector. Is there any kind of shotgun that is decent at current end game?

I used a heavily outdated SASG I found because it could rip enemies apart even from across a street, lol. I think Cassidy is a high end shotgun. I have a superior Tactical ACR with an Enhanced AUG A3P(superior) currently, and the Damascus. Still window shopping for a sniper that meets my needs, most everything has been a let down.

As I just turned 30 and haven't done any DZ yet, I'm rocking a purple shotgun with 8-round mag, and it kills level 30 NPC's in two shots at close range. Seems workable.

For my "main" weapon, I'm using a purple M60. I need to change this though, I'm not happy with it.

Edit: Need to be level 30 though, basically kill a free roam boss, free roam boss dies, you die to his minions, respawn 80m away, repeat

Do the first Security mission to open the Security wing and you'll get a perk that gives +10% exp. I would definitely start doing the side missions (the grey? polygon icon) and the main missions for your level. They're the fastest way to get exp and gear.

I didn't realize how useful crafting was until late last night, was kinda hoping I could rely on drops for all my gear so I was just selling all my old equips

You don't need to die to the boss, can just run back to the safehouse.

Go to Autumn's Hope safehouse. Make a right, then a left at the street. Kill named guy Bullet King, but don't kill his minions die/run back. It's about the same amount of time either way.
