I dont think ive ever used a shotgun in this game
Done with Russian Consulate, probably be patched tonight.
This is all from today, sans the Midas, and I did salvage a few M1's and Shotguns.

wtf thats like 6 months of DZ/daily grind lol I hope they make it rain for everyone else too QQ
I'm level 75 DZ and so far I've got an SRS A1, 7-8 Midas, a First Wave M1A, 2 Pistols from farming the DZ. 12 guns vs. 19.
The problem is none of those guns except 1 is worth a shit. Every named boss in the game could guarantee to drop i31 gear/guns each time they die and you'd still have a hard time finding something that isn't shit.
I'm guessing crafting everything is your main method of gearing up then? Crafting what you need then rerolling for the stats; deconstructing the High-ends you get for their mats?
I haven't looked much into the "end game" of this yet. Was going to be doing all that gearing up this week until that infinite loading screen. Now I'm back to square one.
Super jelly of that 116 dmg smg.
It's just a lot of RNG, the only way through it is brute force.
I'm not bored with the game, I don't hate it, and I've played/exploited the shit out of the game so far. I'd say that unless something drastic happens (removing a layer of RNG / adding drop rates at the rate I mentioned above) and that change is the way forward for the game, the only people that will be effected are the people not doing the exploits.
Removing a layer of RNG means, when a gun drops, it decides the following:
Is it a gun? (Guns are lowest%chance)
What type of gun (P416, M1A, etc)
What type of that gun is it (Custom, Classic, SOCOM, dicklicker)
What is the base damage (x -> y where x is 3000 less than y)
What is the first talent (of 28?)
What is the second talent (of 27?)
What is the third talent (of 26, and the MOST important of the 3)
It's the same way for a backpack or anything else, it's just that you can craft all of those things.
Edit: There are some actual problems too, which if fixed properly would make this game great.
Obviously loot, either make it a lootsplosion and let us sort out garbage, or get rid of the variety (RNGRNGRNGRNG) and keep it as it is now (but a tad better?)
Guns are next. The most popular guns are the ones that have bonuses. You don't need a 25% crit rate on an SMG when people can keep pulse up 100% of the time. You don't need 160% headshot damage on an M1A that empties its mag with no recoil in 2 seconds.
But to add to that, even if those were tweaked you wouldn't see Shotguns/LMGs/ARs except from certain people and idiots.
ARs have too much recoil (mostly bloom), they should get an accuracy bonus (which removes bloom)
LMGs are worthless, they need a huge damage buff, something like 100%+ against exposed targets (not in cover) and a huge stability/accuracy penalty when shooting on the move.
Shotguns just need a range damage buff. If you let someone get sub 5m with a shotty it should rip you the fuck up.
I'd most like to see the LMG buff because it would really change the game. It might be the only thing to make the game more tactical and less about getting the most OP SMG and getting in close.
If to close a gap you had to wade through an LMG hitting you for twice the damage of an AR and not reloading for 200 rounds, you'd be hard pressed to do it the way idiots play right now.
Yea we did missions first, there are posts from me lamenting the difficulty of Challenging when you're just hitting 30 and in purples.
That was mostly a tactical error on my team though. Needless to say, I upgraded teams after this. I think they are more than doable in fresh 30 purples as long as you have the right kinds of CC. Shock Turret, Sticky: Flashbang, Smart Covers, Pulse, Ammo Cache, special ammo/grenades.
After that we just bought blueprints for what we were missing, if I got 5 backpacks from running Challenging then I bought the mask and legs blueprints.
The Black Market AK-74 is a great gun with the right talents, the Vector is only a decent SMG with the right talents.
That said, the Vector is probably higher DPS when you're just starting out because of how broken SMGs are.
I don't think they even live long enough to get close anymore lol, sometimes they get behind us because they act very strange.
It is very dissatisfying to pull out my i31 Purple Custom 870MCS (Base damage is 98.8k) and point it at a guys head, pull the trigger, and they not die.
