that's a typical first world internet setting
SO started playing this tonight, as several buddies told me its good.
5 minutes in, already level 3.
15 minutes in, died repeatedly to boss of rioters.
Too fucking reliant on "taking cover"
Closed application, back to destiny I will go.
lol
It's only 180* different at end game lol.
on for a while on ps4
wow
Stupid question of the day: Why when I switch armor does it always show my Sidearm DPS? Every time I leave the weapon section, it reverts to showing Sidearm DPS. I would like to see Primary if possible.
How does the Dark Zone work exactly?
I've had the game almost 2 weeks, only just hit lv.17 running through story events, trying to complete each section at a time. I only ventured a few minutes into the DZ once, got bum rushed by some player while getting shot at by some strong rioter.
I watched a Twitch stream of some 4 person team going through the DZ, they didn't really grab much loot, just spent time killing other players.
Is the PvP just a giant free for all, or is there any team v team aspects of it that go on?
I've never really ventured much into the open free for all type pvp as it seemed to chaotic and unorganized for me.
You rarely run into 4 man groups and have 4 man group battles where you test your skills and builds because
1) The second someone joins your DZ, you get transferred
a) Sometimes it happens after you have a member or two
b) You always get transferred to an empty DZ
c) The only way around this is to slowly add members over the course of any given period of time
d) The likelyhood of two groups doing this is low, so you never have lots of 4 man groups going at it
e) This could be fixed by having larger DZs, which they should, and by moving out solo players
2) The second you steamroll people, they just run away from you the rest of the time
a) Even if it's a 4 man group
b) Especially if it's a 4 man group
c) Especially because they are probably there to farm shit geared people and go rogue/level up faster
d) A challenge means they don't get to do that, so they leave
e) Most people can't tell a hacker from a person who outgears them, see my videos earlier on this page
f) I am called a hacker multiple times per day
g) Going rogue and having huge battles is a myth, because once you beat people they stop coming
h) Your DZ becomes the empty one because everyone is hiding or left
i) repeat
3) Bullshit OHKO mechanics
a) Sticky bombs
b) Explosive bolt actions
c) chaining signatures
Anyone have a link or info about the backpack hotfix Church mentioned? I'd liek to try to get on to my lv30 guy to upgrade my mats if possible.
I've tried looking and I never found the file delete he was talking about either
Finally found something; not sure if it's the same as what Church saw.
From reddit:
Go to /My Documents/My Games/Tom Clancy's The Division/ then find a file called State.cfg and delete it. I was told to do this by uPlay support and it fixed my character and I was able to log in again. There's no guarantee this will work for you, but it's worth a shot.
Good luck lol
Hopefully it works for you.
So last night, I was in the DZ for a while solo, just killing enemies to rank up. I saw a 3- or 4-man team running around, doing the same as me. We got into a big battle at the oval shaped extraction point (DZ03 I think) and we killed all the mobs and extracted several times. Then later, I found them again in one of the subways; again we cleared it all out and all was cool.
Then I killed a group of Cleaners with a named guy (Hardaway?) ... he dropped a gold AUG, my second gold item drop ever. I grabbed it, and super-cautiously started heading to one of the DZ01 extraction points. I figured I'd be less likely to get overwhelmed by enemies I can easily handle, ya know? And sure enough, on my way there, the same crew I had peacefully coexisted with several times earlier decided to ambush me and steal my AUG.
I was salty as fuck.![]()
I always extract on the rooftop in the 32 DZ zone lol nobody ever fucks with me up there
