Named outside the DZ have a 24hr respawn timer. So yeah they will not be as farmable.

I guess the stats on the DZ pieces are generally higher and that's where the complaint in, in min/maxing? If that's the only case really, then I don't mind so much because the only real reason to min/max in this game is for PvP which is all done in the DZ. The PvE stuff can definitely be done without being absolute BiS for everything.

Nah the GS is the same, I geared up to 229 in two hours or so. I think maybe the Stam, Firearms, and Skill rolls may be higher in DZ? I really am not sure, I was guessing based on these people's reactions and them saying that DZ will have better equipment. I didn't spend much time in the DZ. Went in yesterday for a bit, but there was a group of four with Manhunt status that were killing people left and right. I avoided them to get my extracts and kills in for the daily/weekly, but nothing I extracted was anything amazing.

Extracted a few HE and Set caches, and other HE weapons and armor. Stuff I went in with was still best after all that.

The different maps are based off of player level and gear score.

They're based on gear score. There are I think 3 tiers. Below 150ish, 150-181, and 181+ or something. That's just for the open world stuff. I don't remember DZ.

I fired the game up last night after not playing it since around April. The single player is better, most of the drops are still crap, but they are more frequent. I almost went up a gear score map rank with just under two hours of play time.

Overall so far I'm not impressed. Only teal drops I saw came off of trash mobs. Ran into two bosses in the LZ that dropped garbage. DZ is actually worse now with the new gear set that caters to going Rogue. Gear scores are all kinds of what the fuck now.

I wouldn't mind giving it another go one night. Figure it's best to give it a week or so for the new bugs to be ironed out, read about all sorts of massive FPS drops during certain actions on consoles.
