I logged in last night, invited Brill, then Six joined followed by Nightmare. Had a pretty good time doing the LZ boss loop with tons of loot. NML, Six, and I then ran a Challenge Lincoln Tunnel mission as well. It's definitely a million times better, but the gameplay is still so-so; you're effectively incentivized to farm mindless crap for loot. Killing the LZ mobs is not hard and largely consists of teleport here, kill guys, collect loot, teleport there, kill other guys, collect loot, etc. That said, the Challenge Mission rewards were very solid and I enjoy those (got like 5 HE + 1 set item from one run).

My biggest piece of advice for anyone returning: just scrap every piece of gear that is not 229. Brill told me to do it last night at the start and I had 2 replacements for almost everything at 229 by the end.

I haven't played the live patch much, just to get the supply drop, but in about 10 minutes I had already gotten a set piece and a much better sniper rifle in addition to the supply box HEs. The HVTs and roaming bosses are the way to go for straight farming. Really quick, drop HEs, and the HVTs also give rewards for completion in addition to the drops.

Made it to 202 on brobox, I'm enjoying it. Feels a lot better to me.

Made it to world tier 4 and did challenge mode, rerolled some stuff to be a bit more prepared. 218 now.

Got a 229 SCAR-H marksman in like the first 30 mins of 1.4 that seemed ridiculous; turns out it is. Pretty great video on best weaps in 1.4:

I played for about an hour yesterday and hit full 229. Don't have any complete set, but all the equipment are set pieces. Think I've got 2 Tacticians pieces, 2 Nomads, and then 2 random gear sets. All were new drops if I remember right.

Aegis is fucking GDLK now. aegis paired with a cool headed X45 pistol = 1 mil HP every 45 seconds or whatever the cooldown caps at. PUG challenging complete mindlessly lol. Now to try heroic with randoms >_< (Edit: ill try it after i get a piece that lets me use the bag that heals my shield.)

My secondary DPS is 555,334 after getting a fucking amazing SOCOM Mk20 SSR with a base 20mag, 52.0k dmg per shot, and Brutal / Deadly / Proficient perks.

PVE build complete. 4 nomad, rehab mask, resourceful backpack. self heal / shield hp / shield dmg reduction mods + First wave x-45 with coolheaded = you can survive so really big shit.

PUG challenging and heroic CS complete. Just requires a team that actually knows how to shoot stuff. Failed first falcon lost bc ppl still dont know how to do that one (LOL) dont have dragons nest so i cant test that but overall this build is tits for anything. If you're good at shoulder switching you can seriously ignore so much dmg its great.

I cant test dark zone bc i dont have a group to run with but you can always switch nomad out for banshee if you feel its necessary, throw up that shield to cockblock seeker mines is the major thought. same comes with shot guns if they cant get behind u and one shot..

Survival Mode & 1.5 details, Survival available for testing on PC (if you had the Season Pass by Nov 3rd)

• 2 game modes PvP Survival OR PvE Survival – Groups can meet on the map and help each other but not kill each other in PvE mode
• 24 players on the LZ map
• WHEN YOU DIE ==> GAME OVER! (you can be revived from the downed state)
• hunger, cold mechanics
• you are sick and need to extract yourself
• you start with a pistol only and with no / bad gear
• clothings have a ‘cold’ rating that protect from the blizzard
• crafting plays an important role
• there are ‘hideouts’ – like apartments (those are not safe house)
  there are crafting benches in the hideouts
• you need to build a new mask / virus filter when you want to enter the DZ / contaminated zones
  on the borders of the map the enemies are weaker and get stronger when you move closer to the center of the map
• No need to be L30 to play Survival – Just need access to the BoO
• No link to World Tier – every player plays as the same difficulty level (you start with a simple green pistol) and work your way up

Apparently update 1.5 will introduce a new World Tier, named weapons, gear sets and more, but we’ll have to sit tight and wait for the patch notes.

PVE DZ only in Survival mode. I know Brill has been wanting a PVE DZ, but it sucks that you have to purchase the Season Pass to get this.

For the lack of PVP in PVE DZ, they have added Yellow Bar "hunters" to come after you when you extract. One for each player in the squad.

It's ok, we all fell for that. I wonder how this ties into the story. Do you play as a different agent? Do you just come and go from your state of badass in full 229 to your state of hungry, cold, and green pistoling shit to death?

I'm not sure how I feel about this at all. Pretty much everyone has already bailed. What I've read on the forum is that you're in a chopper that goes down and that's why you don't have any gear etc. They are testing it now on the practice servers.

From what I'm seeing on another channel (Skill Up) it's just an entirely different game mode completely separate from the main game. I'm not against the game mode. I wonder if you're able to queue up with friends. Since you start as a blank slate each time you play, that'd be kinda cool to hop in here and there and just play a game or two everyone once in awhile without having to stay current with the game and keep top notch gear.

Survival is out which means new Gear Score cap (256) and World Tier 5.

Time to play again. Haven't played Survival mode yet, but it's been getting good feedback.

Got two pairs of Skull MC gloves which increase damage by 16% when you don't have a set bonus active. Good for re-gearing to the new cap.
