I'm sick of this "let's release a console, then not release good games until 1-2 years later". No fucking clue WHY they do it, but they do it.

Exclusives are artificial value. We've seen time and again that games can and are created to play on both consoles and PCs, so what benefit is there to restricting it to consoles? What do we as consumers gain from that? The only thing I can think of is coding the whole game to a specific hardware architecture so it's presumably optimized better. That alone doesn't sell the notion to me, especially when the game is then released on multiple consoles which have different hardware.

You gain nothing. You lose quite a lot from it, actually. But too bad, if you want to play many of the really great games made, you don't have a choice.

The benefit is console games make more money.

Zero interest in generic, FPS, negative interest in racing games that aren't mario karty/diddy kong racing, infamous looks amazing. Would rather pick up a wii U for mario, lego game, wind waker HD(I never beat wind waker), wonderful 101, zombie u, new donkey kong,
New Super Luigi U/new super mario bros u, then new mario kart, sonic and smash later. Then bayonetta 2(:Q...) and X(:Q...) much later. Plus I can play watch dogs, rayman, and AC4 on Wii U.
