idk what they did to mechanics, but i seem to be surviving huge hits with a lot more percent in this game. Get to like 180% and still not dead

Blast zones are further out and DI actually affects how far you get sent flying now. Basically it's real hard to get kills at lower %s without chasing people offstage.

seriously though why can't I map movement to the dpad. stick gets slick (lol) after a minute or so of furious smashing and sucks anyway. also my right thumb is getting destroyed

Yeah, nintendo did a pretty good job. Technology is really amazing nowadays. dont really play fighting games online, but it is crazy how it seems we are playing in the same room though across country.

Though I will say and must ask.

Did any of you get a short lag spike when we played, seemed like the game froze for like .5-1 sec during the fight that I had Capt Falcon. I have noticed it sparingly when i play online. Happened twice to me so far.

hitting up on control stick while running doesnt really let you jump like it used to, messing up my aerial game. also hitting L button on accident while mid air a bit.

Tap jump is zz surprised people would still use it

Was doing some dubs and screwing around with Jiggs. Noticed my partner was about to hit opponent and I was at 0%, jumped in, ate the knockback, and landed Rest on the dude during his hitstun. Lulz were had.

Man was up against a Lucina that was wrecking me. We played like 20 games and I think I learned a bunch (only won like 5), things I thought were safe she was punishing me hard for. I am really bad at getting grabbed though. And getting countered. I think my biggest problem is after being launched is how to get back without getting hit. Also I am really bad at the edge and recovering, and getting used to short hopping with the 3ds controls.

In-laws wifi was awful, couldn't get any online matches in... Unlocked all the stages and characters, completed a page and a half of challenges in 3 hours or so.

Noticed twice while fighting Doc for the unlock that Greninja's Substitute will shoot you off the edge... really quickly. Died twice countering him and flying off the screen completely. Not sure if that's intended but it makes it really hard to use properly.

Shulk really is the new Ike. I just wish his jab cancelled and he'd have decent overall options. The range on his bair is insane. He has decent recovery thanks to Jump mode. So much fun to play as.
