thanks. think it would have been closer if I could get Mac's counter down better, that's the only way to defend when you attack off the edge. I also never use grabs, bad habit

is there like a decent primer for how these games work somewhere? like some kind of thing that will explain system mechanics and what the hell tilting is. the language of this game is alien to me but i would like to make some effort to understand it

tilting is just "tilting" your directional stick instead of pushing it all the way when clicking A which causes a "tilt" attack instead of a smash attack. It's quicker but less powerful (usually)

Took me forever to get into any of the lingo. I was super casual and only played with friends so I ended up being the best in my little world where there was no wave dashing, teching, or anything like that lol.

Just look up smash terminology, smash lingo, or whatever. There's a nice list on IGN but linking there isn't allowed (i think).

Ah alright ggs, you were able to play aggressively well. Think you let me let you come to me (if that makes sense) often when you don't always have to do that depending on the match up.

Yeah the 1v1 is a fairly new format for me. My friends never wanted to play 1v1, so we always did free for alls. If it came down to me versus one of them they just jumped off the stage cause they didn't want to deal with it. Only one of my friends would try to put up a fight, 50/50 shot they'd say on the stage.

I am very aggressive when I play. I think that may be a bad thing though. I should probably hang back a bit more often. Also I should play more than 2 characters.

I'll have to bring my 3DS to work and see if I can squeeze in a few during lunch.
