Gonna join after food will have about 30min
WIN now stop letting me win
I can't connect from work :/ Seems the error I'm getting is for the ports needed to connect to the match server itself. Going to see if I can mess with the router settings, but probably not.
Blew work time
I am not lol I been neglecting my Palutena while I was browsing around other characters so I still need to tune her up some which was why I did several matches with her. She is currently going through my Ness syndrome remember XP Where alts are being played better than the mains...
Thanks for the matches. I am pretty bad and kept inputting shit wrong on ledge and killing myself. ;_;
You were improving throughout but I think the main things were not punishing my mistakes enough and not reading my moves to punish (probably because more focused on aggression on me). Such as dash attacks for several characters you can possibly predict, shield, grab. It was harder for me to do against Falcon because his dash attack tends to go through me and pivot grabbing that fast is hard on 3DS so you wouldn't have been able to see me do it to you to show.
You were able to keep me off the ledge several times before I could recover (if I did) which was good.
Most of your SDs I think were from air dodging near the edge making it very hard to recover.
If you remember the way I played Ganondorf that showed some of that predict/reading/punishing style based on how the character is, though the way he does it is a little different from Falcon because of their speed differences and some slightly different abilities.
As for Falcon tips on him, not really my place to say since I just goof around with him and there are far better Falcon players than me. Probably can check the Smashboards forum for Captain Falcon and see any vids and possible combos they may say.
Tenacity to keep going from those several games is always good too as you didn't just give in on Falcon so quickly after a few games. Not that it is bad to play others as that is a way to see their weaknesses such as lag from some moves etc.
Thanks yeah I kept getting punished hard for doing moves, mainly trying to get in range, need to break that habit. Like I know it was a bad idea to approach that way but I would forget mid match and do it. But yeah mainly stuck with Falcon because I just wanted to learn a bit more with one character before branching off. Also you choosing a bunch of characters helped. Sonic and Little Mac were rough though, no idea how to play against them.
I need to work on not breaking my shield too early too, I tend to do that or get predictable, will need to play more matches with you again. Even though I got demolished it helped a bunch! Thanks again.
The amount of little mac scrubs has me rolling, it's almost a free win for me. :D
I managed to style on one so hard, started the match w/ a stun+grab quickly combo'd him to about 80% and killed him w/ a zss full hit up+b. He the proceeded to kill himself next stock and the match ended in about 30 secs. Lol
I figured that would be helpful for you while I also got to branch around to test the waters of some. Found Sonic to be a lot better here than he was in Brawl, I never been able to do mixups as well with a character until today with Sonic.
Little Mac, to me, for both the user and the opponent, is all about reading the enemy with some punish. In addition, getting him off the edge when possible and, if safe, gimp him off since one hit off the edge and he's not coming back XD His KO Punch goes away in one hit after a little bit of time, I tend to try to bait them for me to get a free hit off so it wears off.
I just realized Charizard lost his best feature - When you run fast and then turn it doesnt make the sound of a car swerving anymore. Why would you take that out, Sakurai??? Also I keep accidentally flying off the level when I try to Rock Smash but instead use Flare Blitz or whatever. Why the hell would you change a move's button like that?
