GGs Meian, my friend matt was raging at the double duck hunts
Yeah its hectic as fuck lmao
Edit: Apparently in Japanese it is called "Master Side" and "Crazy Side" whatever that means.

The video with the unused audio files had the announcer saying "Master Orders" and "Crazy Orders". My guess is that's what the English equivalent is.
Sakurai hinted in an interview in Weekly Famitsu that a Nintendo Direct is being planned to showcase the full scope and differences of the Wii U version and will show off the "true potential of Smash Brothers".
Not surprisingly, but it sounds like the rabbit hole goes a good bit deeper.
Still waiting for a Wii U SSB bundle announcement.![]()
Ideas for 9.0 Classic that aren't that Ganon one? Havent been able to have too much luck against the crazy forms. I tried the auto healing item once but that doesn't really heal enough to be noticeable.
I am having so much trouble picking a main. UGHHHHHHH.
I think it is down to Shulk, Ness, and Captain Falcon.
I had done Ganondorf with full defense. Focused more on f-smash/u-smash whichever possible in their position against the final boss. Supposedly can do it with Bowser too since can just forward-b most things to get to the last boss quickly but was easier for me with Ganondorf since I play as him already. Other than that was just knowing when to dodge appropriately. May want to practice once on 6.0 with the full defense and if you can do that then try 9.0 (or progress up if still not confident)
Whoever you enjoy and do the most well in then the others can be backups based on matchup or mixing it up.
Like Meian, I did Ganon full def.
Also won with Charizard at 9 with heavy -DEF and dodged everything. Used an Auto Heal atk item, Trade Off Defender (30% start, 0.8x DMG take) atk item, and a +49atk item for a total of -78 DEF. Your best bet to winning is learning the tells and how to dodge the dog/sword shit.
Pulled out a ROB win at 9 too. Used an item to restore health when shielding attacks and +103 DEF.
Wii Fit too. And Villager.
DEF is the way to go usually though until you are really used to dealing with it.
Ironically, dog is easiest for me. Super obvious tells sometimes. Hands fuck me up and so does the form after that. Have yet to get past swords as Ganon but ill keep trying.
Did it as standard ganon, took me a few tries, full def was too slow for me.
Super noob time:
Hopefully you guys can clear something up for me. I was reading this to learn to do other stuff good, and I don't think I'm getting the difference between the directional+smash button attacks. Like up+smash for instance, I seem to be about 80/20 on the 2 attacks and don't know how to consistently get one or the other to come out.
I've also personally had problems buffering smash motions similar to how they input in Brawl. It's kind of hard to explain, but I'll try.
For the non-hardcore: Buffering = inputting a move when you can't actually do it, but within enough frames that it will take effect as soon as you'd have been able to input the move anyway. Idk what the buffer window is on Smash4 yet but it seems smaller than Brawl.
Go into Training Mode on any character, turn the speed to 1/4th.
Do a dash forward, pivot out of your dash, and while pivoting press A. Note exactly where the stick is when you press A. If it's all the way to the other side already, you're going to get an Ftilt. If it's somewhere in the middle, you'll get an Fsmash. This is smashes applied with buffering here. Buffering from aerials is slightly similar, but gives a lot more room for the timing. It'll happen eventually--keep doing it 10-20 times and you'll see what I'm talking about, it's less often than with dash pivots but if you're not being careful it'll happen at the worst time.
Now stand still. Input movement like you'd want to dash, and instantly hit A when the stick hits the side. Boom, Fsmash.
Smashes from a neutral state require the speed of that dash input. If you go on 1/4th speed again, you can even start the frames of a dash animation, and before a certain point if you're still holding the direction, hit A and get an Fsmash.
Same logic applies to going through platforms with down. You can't really buffer that platform passthrough, AND you've gotta hit down nearly as hard as you'd hit a direction for a smash/dash.
Tl;dr don't try to buffer stuff, and don't be afraid of killing your circle pad when you want to do a smash. I find that I lose more stocks and more matches when I start worrying about the potential damage to my circle pad.
Also tl;dr play Melee/PM and kill your buffering habit. Doesn't exist in Melee and doesn't exist in PM unless you turn it on.
Guess I'm off to Bouncing Fish all over some fools. I've got pushes on Tapatalk so if anyone wants some srsmode practice or doubles hit me up. Will be up till like 3est.
Don't need to kill the circle pad for the smashes. I am very careful with how I do it, quick and smooth without putting a lot of force. Probably what I apply the most force is when vectoring but I try to be kinder to the stick with it. Always been this way even with GC controllers which is why none of mine have ever broken. Stick did get a little loose in my main one but it never affected the game at all.
I think a slightly looser stick on a GC is better anyway. Easier to get the exact motions you want and faster for Melee (because Brawl is not nearly as demanding on inputs). I've never actually worn a GC all the way out either, but I'm sure my main one is close.
None of this matters in a little over a month anyway... Gotta get that Wii U though.
Do we know what the superior controller for wiiU smash will be?
