Eh I wouldn't really agree with this since you were all over Ike/Shulk pretty much consistently until you made comments about their "issues" and then jumped on the Sheik seeing the top tierness and just stuck to it lol.
Speaking of broken, I had been trying Meta Knight since his changes quite a bit. He certainly feels quite nerfed in almost every regard except his aerials. Don't feel guilty playing him anymore and he's quite fun. That nado nerf though lol but 20% damage if can land every hit perfectly. He has problems with people who can projectile spam not so different from Little Mac. A shame he can only really consistently kill with F-Smash (still sluggish) and his Down-B (buffed) unless you jump off the stage to D-Air like in Brawl (very safe off stage game his up+b has incredibly long vertical range).
The aerials from Little Mac lol spiking with neutral air...
I still actually mess around with Shulk, Robin, and Ike quite a lot. Sheik's just back to a Melee-esque playstyle and it's very hard to put that aside when you already put 4+ years into the character, and even spent a decent amount of matches with her in Brawl (yeah, Sheik was on my secondary list near the end, and yes, I could DACUS around 95% of the time properly).
I'll take some time to explain how I'm kind of interacting on the game at the moment--if anyone's got any insight into any of these chars more than what I've posted, please, by all means, add.
So, I'll start with Nair Boy (Shulk). As everyone has probably learned by now, his safest landing option against an opponent looking to follow up, outside of any gimmicky things involving Monado modes, is Nair. 12 frame delay into the ground, with differing amounts of startup pending on where you want the hitbox to come out to. The option allows him to land really on either side of a character, and the GC controller is going to help a lot with pivoting properly to follow with his fast ground options, which are jab1 (safest), dtilt, ftilt (I think), and dsmash.
And, well, writing this out has kind of been useful even for me. Those are the "best" options but he's still got options that work, that as long as you don't abuse them or show your cards at the wrong time, can get you that priceless lower % KO, completely change your momentum if you're struggling, and if you're able to make the same strange option work twice in a row, a high level player is going to usually remember that... And it might open up part of your regular game that's been shut off due to the matchup knowledge that your opponent had coming in. So, what I can think of for Shulk's crazy unpredictable but functional mixups:
- Bait with a faked poorly spaced Bair landing to pivot to Utilt against aerial game chars (kills at like 120ish in normal mode? 100ish in Smash I think)
- Reverse Back Slashes... It's a dangerous option, but if the opponent's taken a decent bit of shield damage, Back Slash actually can eat up shields pretty well. Also, if they're charging at you, and decide to try a bair of their own, taking a slight distance back and doing a reverse Back Slash in Smash wrecks stocks like nobody's business.
- Landing directly to Dsmash... Shulk's range on Dsmash might be the largest in the game. If not largest, it's the largest that hits multiple times in all of the areas its hitboxes touch. Doesn't kill, and I don't think it pokes shields but I might be wrong. Where you've got option 1 above for aerial people, this is to deal with the potential grounded character not named Mac.
- Vision... Alright, Shulk's counter is really, really good. But if you're wrong, you're screwed. High risk, super high reward, not worth using against someone unless you are able to realize how they're trying to eat up your stock.
Monado Modes: I've seen people use these in all different kinds of ways, and honestly, I'm not sure there is a best way outside of learning how to use each mode to its fullest, constantly mixing up your modes and play style in that mode, and realizing which modes are actually absolutely terrible in certain matchups. Shulk's like playing five different characters with the same moveset, and if you really want to be good with him, that's the amount of time I'm starting to feel like I'll have to invest.
Until then, I'll keep running him in Doubles (which I do, he's still my second most used) and watching other people use him. His meta is evolving, and every time I see a different high level player use Shulk, there's always something different I pick up that I incorporate into my own style.
And I'll be playing Ike more now that I've watched Ryuga's matches at that convention over the weekend that were on ClashTournaments. I've definitely been doing it wrong and acting like it's still Brawl Ike.
Pictures floating around the internet of people with allegedly-street broken copies. I need the new leaks! The new trailers are showing the 3DS hidden characters, which means there have to be MORE hidden characters!
Let a man dream! Besides, it seems strange they're making hidden characters known now. There's always been a surprise or two so it's kind of sad to think we know everyone already. I get it's because the 3DS spoilers have been known since the game came out (and before it) but it just seems off to me.
I think general consensus has been that while the characters are the same between versions, the unlockables may not be. So the Wii U version might start out with Bowser Jr. but you need to unlock Shulk.
I'm still holding out hope for 1 or 2 characters that are still hidden and not dlc, unlocked by having both versions. Mewtwo kinda tosses water on that.
Warming a lot on Charizard being my new pocket Zelda. People never see the Flare Blitz coming and I find rock smash and Charizard setup in general as good counters to a spammy ZSS.

Mega Man's apparent track listing:
Better have some Protoman theme in there somewhere.Cut Man
Shadow Man
Spark Man
Air Man
Mega Man 2 Medley
Mega Man Retro Medley
Mega Man 2 Retro Medley
Mega Man 3 Retro Medley
Mega Man 4-6 Retro Medley
I had a crazy idea today that the stage you play on should change if a Mega Man is present. Normal = Wily Stage. Metal Man = His Stage. etc.
Speaking of that poster of those songs... the intro:
The announcer not shouting the game title? I hope he does in the actual game...
These Amiibos aren't as fancy looking as they been advertised it seems

Yeah, they're not all that hot. Kinda just easy cash-ins for Nintendo. Waiting for my chars to be announced. Thinking about picking up WFT though. Dunno.
Smash club event was shit,
Waited 1h in the cold outside,
Inside had a mini tournement 1v1v1v1 3min no item and couldn't change controls
And outside the tournement area you could play all you want on local wireless, but was laggy as shit
Thumbnail made me think of this as soon as I looked at it.
