Idk why I care though. I took Marf and Roy out for a spin in Melee the other day and got wrecked.

Roy's from FE5 wasn't released in US. Burning blade? Something like that. That game was freaking hard too, even on "normal" mode. FE6 is actually a prequel to it and was released here as just "Fire Emblem." And that one was called "Sword of seals" in Japan, either that or I mixed the two titles up.

Assuming it is the same thing as vectoring sound, It is attacks hitting each other at same amount of force and canceling each other out. Maybe same amount of force or similar.

Prior to 1.04 you could DI into or away from a move to influence the distance you flew, and the influence you had on your actual direction was significantly lower. And it's smash, so a slight mechanical change needed a fancy new name for the sake of being confusing.

In previous smash games (and apparently 1.04) you can only influence the direction without affecting the distance, so rather than DIing into an attack to reduce knockback you want to DI parallel in such a way that you maximize your distance to the blast zone (or in the case of combos, from your opponent.)

I just purchased the Wii U box (finally >_>) with the Smash order coming in whenever. Should have everything just before Black Friday.
