People still play 3DS version? I thought that was the demo.
Also the DLC cost of Mewtwo!
Well, I can't play a Wii U version while on the train to/from university lol
I got a wiiu and let me say fuuuck some of these event matches. The lucario one is giving me a headache right now. Dying instantly each time just makes me realize how shitty it is.
Is there a list of the APEX Smash4 matches in order? Some tourney vids I've seen in the past have been out of order making it annoying to watch correctly.
Also, got this made and came in the other day
Spoiler: show
So was hosting a stream last night and at the end I went to For Glory and picked Diddy Kong (I've never played him before). Got trashed by a Yoshi player and the spectators had a good time with it

Man, Melee makes Smash 4 look so amateur. It's kind of sad. One mistake in Melee and that's usually your stock. Smash 4? Try like 10+.
Fuck Yes, Shulk and Megaman amiibos this week!
This is only really the case if you play melee at a high level because as a general thing Smash 4 is definitely an improvement over Brawl and general Melee play. Melee was a happy accident that's never going to happen again sadly (though after this long idg why people still pine over Melee so much).
It's the same exact shit when SC2 came out after BW. BW was toted as (and still is) much much much more mechanical and macro intensive than SC2. Super tiny mistakes that were costly in BW were not as big of a deal in SC2 for sake of general ease to play and enjoyment for the plebs. This allowed a lot more swing-y matches and comebacks, where I assume the same applies for Smash4 as opposed to Melee. At the end of the day, the better player in Smash4 is still gonna win out, even if they dont have the Brood War super awesome skills that aren't needed any more that existed in Melee. But that's just my view I'm sure I'm wrong as wrong can be.
You're right, and you're both right, and I don't hate Smash 4. It's just that the high level technical bullshit I can pull off in Melee and PM make Smash4 look like child's play. And it's not even really wavedashing that I'm talking about--I don't really wavedash at all except for landings. It's the shield play, chain grabs, combos, and edgeguards.
Thing is, that's not really a Smash thing. All fighting games in recent years have favored removing alot of the technical barriers to open things up.
The major issue here is the Melee scene has such an excessive hard on for said technical aspects that it's probably going to impede a competitive scene for Sm4sh after the newness wears off.
Gamestop has a bunch of new Amiibos listed available online on their site currently. I just picked up Sheik for the GF for Vday. Gunna get laid hard holy shit.
