Street Fighter Ryu is pretty epic however. Suddenly fighting game bros will embrace Smash as a true fighter.

The damn creator of the game calls it a party game and even hates the stigma around Smash as a competitive fighting game. Sucks for the Smash crowd, but that's how it is. (I personally don't care one way or another)

Roy's bellbottoms are on fleek.

You know what would have been awesome? If they added Guile's theme.

Edit: Watching Shofu right now. Roy seems to have some heavy lag after every move. He is very strong though, like a Marth/Ike hybrid...probably a lot like Chrom would have played. His up B can be controlled vertically or horizontally. Doesn't seem to have any combos out of his throws.

Stream chat is all in a fuss about Diddy being nerfed again. Remains unconfirmed, though mounting evidence suggests its bad.

Lucas has a PK Hoo Hah down throw to up air. Up throw can kill, down air can spike pretty well. PK Freeze seems spotty in contact, but it might need a trick to aim well. You saw his PK Fire in the trailer, but it has solid knockback.

People freaking out about how broken Ryu seems...but I'm better that its along the same lines as Bowser being "broken" when he was first played.

Yoo.. Heihachi and Jacky. I love the open-arms approach Nintendo's got going on here. Rivals in the business shouldn't be enemies; the two goals are to make money and to provide enjoyment. You can't always accomplish those things if you're hoarding your toys selfishly. Between Mario Kart and Smash, Nintendo's got a chance here to capitalize on the old NES/SNES era of dominance in terms of being a hub for all "famous" characters showing up on the system. They've had Sonic in smash for 2 iterations now, and I don't think it'll be long before we see Sonic in Mario Kart.

I'll say it again: while the hardware choices themselves irk me, I absolutely love the software that Big N's put out on this console.
