Rumor: Smash Bros. NX to be a launch title
Rumor: Smash Bros. NX to be a launch title
I'm nearly 100% certain it will be a Sm4sh port with all DLC included, the 3DS stages playable and a few newer perks, just like the inevitable Zelda Wii U NX port.
Still good news though. Gives Sakurai time to not be stressed about a Smash5 yet.
I know it means nothing. but didn't he said Sm4sh was the last?
Smash ain't gonna end.
So he's pretty much like Kojima except with SSB? Got it.

DLC is out.
I absolutely LOVE Corrin. Kind of slow like Robin, and some of the moves have nasty ZSS level lag if you whiff. Have to be careful. But the playstyle is off enough from my Tink that If developed I could use it to counter pick as an alt or as something a little different here and there.
The jumps kind of suck, slow and not very high. But the up B can do some damage and has kill potential like Link/Tink's up B. It is also maneuverable like Roy's up B.
Jab, from eyeballing it, has some reach behind you and can pull people in. It also catches rolls because the sword hits are pretty wide before the jaws come out.
Neutral B is *really* good, not so much for creating distance but for establishing a rushdown threat and forcing the opponent to pause and either take it or shield. The stun lasts a good second at no charge and a few at max charge, but has some really nasty lag if you miss and is punishable even if you throw the jaw out after it.
I'm still trying to grasp the mechanics of forward B. When it anchors into the ground and traps someone, it can open up some pretty nasty ground combos. It has pretty good knockback on its own if you don't anchor someone. The problem is you have to be really close to the ground for it to anchor, otherwise it just throws out and has good knockback.
Down B is counter. Seems to function where more damage countered = bigger knockback.
Dair has freaking range, and can outclass Up B's like Link that have long standing hitboxes. It doesn't seem to spike like other down B's that can, but it traps them up to soak the damage.
I think Fair is kind of like a windmill. If you hit it once, it throws out the sword but if you hit it again it follows up with the lance, can catch people offguard expecting one hitbox.
Bair pauses your descent and moves you in a direction like Mewtwo throwing shadowball, but only a little bit. The wings have a decent hitbox and good knockback. Can use it pretty effectively to get closer to Up B back to stage.
Can't remember Uair.
All of the smashes have HUGE range with the lance. Forward has a really neat mechanic that holds the sword in front of you while charging, but the actual smash is a forward lance thrust.
Down smash is a left/right smash with the lance having more range.
Up smash is like Mega Man's down smash, but doesn't seem to have as large a hitbox to the sides. Nice upward spike though and has sizeable hitbox up above you.
None of the throws seem particularly powerful, but I believe down throw killed at 150% in training. Neither of the side throws seemed very strong, but wasn't paying attention to the damage they did.
Final Smash is a hit them or lose it entirely one. Looks really neat though.
Feels like a weird mix of Robin's close up ability with a little range and wall game of Toon Link. I feel comfortable with him/her after only playing for a while, so I hope some really good techs are developed because I can see competitive potential with him/her.
Dark Female Corrin > Green Male Corrin > Everyone else.
Day 1 Bae combos
Early word on character changes is that Toon Link had landing lag reduced by 5 frames. I could not be happier if true.
Marth, Female Marth and Buff Marth apparent biggest recipient of buffs, Bowser's previous hoo-hah from the last patch is now changed and probably re-relegated to bottom tier.
Nairo has found a bug where Bayonetta can double jump twice. As in jump and jump, use Witch Twist to cancel out allows you to jump and then jump again.
Corrin can forward B into ledges and impale people, follow up with the kick that auto clicks you to the ledge while spiking the opponent against the stage. Nasty.
Confirmed: Tink's Bair landing reduced by 5 frames.
Few characters got frame decreases like Ike. Kirby now apparently weighs more than Mewtwo.
Lucina and Marth got really nice damage buffs.

So far confirmations of them
These Ike buffs though geeze they keep on coming
Spent some time on Corrin tonight. Trying to see what I can get out of some throw combos, because setting up aerials against some characters, especially mirrors, is difficult.
Im liking the range on forward smash, because it can halt approaches like Falcon and Fox pretty well.
Corrin doesn't really get any conversion out of throw. Just use the best one for stage positioning/control.
And use the kill throw when applicable
I'm sorry man but Corrin's an annoying-assed character to fight against.
