Why? Marth is always in every iteration of Smash alongside a fresh face from Fire Emblem. Marth being in this game holds no bearing on Chrom, who's almost certainly going to be in as well.

He's actually really good. The problem is the other chars are just designed better. Also his recovery was always bad and then made worse in Brawl for no fucking reason. Same with his spin move making it hard to kill with him. However he's probably one of the most technical characters and in the hands of a good player he can be a monster.

Nah he's good in the original, and has a pretty high skill cap in terms of positioning and control. He's no Pikachu, but he's by no means in bottom or even average tier.

Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai doesn’t just use his Miiverse column to post screenshots of the game, but also to occasionally lends bits and pieces of insight into the development process. Among the latest batch of screenshots is one of Link’s Downward Strike move, which currently serves as his Meteor Smash—a move that launches airborne opponents downward—in the game.

Sakurai writes: “Link’s downward strike was designed to change to a Meteor Smash when the tip of the sword is aligned just right at the start. However, it will be removed if it’s deemed too powerful overall after some multiplayer play tests.”

Sakurai also shared a new image of Fire Emblem’s Marth, who was revealed as a playable character last week, noting that he has been given a full makeover, incorporating elements from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and newer games.

Seriously, pick up and just run MK. I'll give you a ton of sets on Wifail if you really want it, except for the fact I can't play Snake for shit. You could probably get a hold of Akashi though... His would probably stand up to the one you're talking about. My MK would probably give you enough experience for the ditto unless you have a serious MK main in the area that I don't know about.

I can also toss a Marth that's close to Kadaj's level. My Kirby's worthwhile too.

Of course, Ike is my real main, but unless Ryo is showing up, I doubt you'll run into one that will give you problems down there if you're on MK.

I actually met Ryo this weekend; we did a crew battles (Tampa; Miami; Gainsville; Orlando). Tampa beat everyone but Miami(They just had one monster that carried the team). The guy who I'm talking about; his brother(who isn't quite as good) took out Ryo (that dude has a god like Ike though).

I play Snake and Ike myself. I'm not as good as the competitive players though. I haven't rly played with MK at all. No way possible I'd be able to get a MK that can perform better than my Snake in that short of time, but I'd still enjoy playing with you probably.
