That's Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening.
That's Chrom from Fire Emblem Awakening.
The fact that Ness still hasn't been announced leaves me a little worried.
Smash's ranking system explained:

TLDR: You're rewarded with higher numbers based on how you play, and you never know what the highest number is.
I really liked this idea when it was briefly talked about in the SSB Direct. I'm not a super competitive person usually and just play these types of game for fun. And, the really competitive people at tournaments can still know they are better than the other people there, so, seems like a win-win to me.
Smash will be playable at Best Buys and will have a invitational tournament at E3.

Introducing... FEMALE VILLAGER
Not surprising, considering Male/Female Wii Fit Trainer.
Would be kind of funny if thats how they get Lucina into the game, just be the female Chrom.
I'd play lucina cuz lucina > chrom
have they announced wario yet
Why would you not want a guy who does nothing but fart?
I thought they did, and furthermore announced that his default would be plumber outfit instead of warioware motorcyclist things (????)
Introducing the Wired Fight Pad (Gamecube controller clone) licensed by Nintendo
http://www.vg247.com/2014/05/22/a-ne...s-approaching/Fighting game players are characteristically picky about their controller of choice, so before the new Smash Bros. for the Wii U, PDP (Performance Designed Products) are throwing a new design into the ring called the Wired Fight Pad.
Inspired by the iconic GameCube controller, the Fight Pad is licensed by Nintendo and will basically act like Nintendo’s own Classic Controller line, but at a lower price point. Plugging into the extension port at the bottom of a Wii remote, the Fight Pad is compatible with Wii and Wii U games that support the Classic Controller and the Classic Controller Pro, including some Virtual Console titles.
And to spruce it up, it will come in designs featuring characters like Mario, Yoshi and Princess Peach.
The Wired Fight Pad will retail at US $24.99, and will be available this holiday season – just in time for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U.
Changes to how characters will be presented on screen
http://www.siliconera.com/2014/05/21...els-presented/The new Super Smash Bros. (at least on Wii U) is making some changes to the way character models are displayed. Unlike past games, character models will now be mirrored, regardless of whether they’re facing left or right, bringing the game more in line with regular fighters.
“This was quite a tedious task, but thanks to it we can show the best features of each character even better,” director Masahiro Sakurai wrote on Miiverse, along with the screenshot above.
Alongside another screenshot featuring Bowser and Kirby, Sakurai added: “Here’s another example: in the previous games, you saw the back of Kirby’s head when facing left. Now Kirby looks great from any angle.”
Sakurai did not specify whether these changes apply to the Nintendo 3DS version of the game as well.

What...NFC has its first killer app
In an interview with Le Figaro, Stephen Bole of Nintendo France mentions that Super Smash Bros for Wii U will feature some form of NFC support. The original interview has been translated into English using Google Chrome, so some of the wording is a little off, but it clearly does mention that NFC will be used in the Wii U version of Smash Bros.
“Wii U had suffered the past a lack of games a year, with widely spaced outlets. The beginning of the year 2014 was also quiet, what will happen after the release of Mario Kart 8? Many games release will be formalized at the show at E3, but you already know that we out action game Bayonnetta 2. By the end of the year, there will also be the new Skylanders, the new Disney Infinity, Sonic Boom, Watch Dogs or Zelda Hyrule Warriors. And on the output side of games produced by Nintendo, there will obviously be the fighting game Super Smash Bros.. E3 is also an opportunity to show the use of NFC technology [used in Skylanders and Disney Infinity, allowing the use of real objects - here, figurines - in video games] in Nintendo consoles . The NFC will be used in the Wii U version of Super Smash Bros.”
Having such a big game utilise Nintendo’s new figurine platform could be a brilliant idea, as it can get people on board fast. The NFC figures could be used for things such as new characters you can only use by buying the figure, extra trophies, new stages and much more.
Maybe this could be one of the reasons why the Wii U version of Smash Bros is releasing later than the 3DS version.
