For what it's worth, a translation of the 3DS version's "pre-order card advertisement" is floating around the internet. Biggest revelations: ~2.1 gigs in size for the 3DS version and no Konami trademark on the packaging. Snake possibly de-confirmed.

Edit: Well, copyright lawyers are suddenly all over the internet. Apparently you only need to post copyright info if the likeness is on the package, not necessarily in game. Anyone confirm?

To me, DLC is only a problem when you can smell that devs withheld content just to package it in later. I can't really see that with Smash. I feel like, if anything, they seriously just ran out of time from working their hands to the bone.
