DLC? Whatever, if it means continued support. People are begging Capcom to DLC the hell out of MVC3 and no dice, so yeah, I'll do DLC if it means I get more of a game I know will already last years.

Well I"m pretty pessimistic about it. I really don't want to see Nintendo pull a Crapcom with Day 1 DLC locked on the disc, and like Geno said I really don't have much faith in Nintendo's handling of DLC when it comes to distribution between the WiiU/3DS versions.... assuming there is any.

Nintendo is pretty GGG, they dont charge for online, so maybe their DLC to an extent might be free as well?
Maybe they already have the cost for the additional characters, stages and such put away, but it would just take more time to do it, and have to use DLC?

The stupid game with the haggling dog has DLC that changes prices based on what you do while haggling with him, even.

Classic Mode gets harder the more money you throw at it

New screenshots from game director Masahiro Sakurai have revealed that the “Classic Mode,” where players fight in stage after stage against other characters like a typical “Arcade” mode in other fighters, will be featuring a new update from previous Super Smash Bros. titles. Specifically, Sakurai revealed that the difficult of the “Classic Mode” is now based on the “Fiend’s Scale,” a sliding scale that allows players to bet their in-game coins and adjust how much gold they want to bet for the mode: the more gold placed on a bet, the harder the matches will be, and the more gold will be rewarded, in turn.

For those that happened to play Kid Icarus: Uprising, released for the 3DS back in 2012, the new difficulty slider should be familiar as it is taken almost exactly from that title, which was also under the helm of Sakurai under his Project Sora development team.
