And where i am in QC doesn't have many places to hold gather up or stuff like that for Smash

I'm practically 100% online for Brawl.

Really, the biggest part of people burning out on Brawl was hitting what felt like the brick wall of skill (which involves self analysis of habits, your choices of responses and frames and payoff etc, and in playing LOTS of different people of different skill to fix constantly), and not picking up new characters. It's very hard to burn out on any of the Smash games...

Even 64/Melee can be played online without issue these days... And have decent sized communities of people worthwhile to play against...

Well, there are still a fair amount of people on our forums that were good for playing Brawl against (Ryko being the best of us at his high point in Brawl, Akashi, me, and a lot of the folks in Spam and names are escaping me at the moment). I totally got a lot out of playing them, but eventually you really need to move to a site that has a chat primarily for matchmaking (idk where the bigger 64/Melee ones are, but Brawl is AllIsBrawl). You just log in, say what you're looking for, and find someone to start playing. And yes--we still play Brawl/PM online on Wiimm's servers.

If you waited only on us to play and didn't play lots of different people on the regular, you wouldn't really develop more after a certain point, unless we did first, and you'd probably burn the hell out.


And no, I'm not a PT main contrary to that avatar... Ike and MK, with a worthwhile Kirby on the side for Doubles, and I just decided to pick up Fox last week and going to spend some serious time on him before Smash4 comes out. Marth, PT(Dragon>Turtle>Plant), TL(dubs), Lucas, ZSS, Olimar all on the side and no particular order.

Snake is supposedly future DLC. Comes from the same leak as the char select screen leak.

Ike was boy in Brawl, before that it was all about Jigglypuff. Definitely looking forward to Shulk and the potential return of Snake. I was never huge on Snake for serious play, but man was he a blast to troll people in 4 player games.

I'd play Link again if he wasn't so shitty. Three Smash games is enough. He hasn't been fun since Melee, and he was trash in that game as well (aside from recovery).

I know Ima play Megaman a bit, but as for a serious character, I'm not sure.

Lots of characters I want to try out for the new one. Shulk is probably the one I want to practice with, but villager could be hilarious. Other than that.. Toon link was my favorite to play as in Brawl. I'm also curious about changes to Bowser.

I know I suck at smash compared to others, but I main PT and my personal ranking goes Squirtle/Ivysaur/Charizard. Ivysaurs greatest strength is that no one knows how to fight him.

The real Tier ranking is Turtle is best, Lizard is second, but I start with Lizard because then I get Squirtle on second stock. Plus, you can actually do some pretty crazy stuff with Char that catches people who don't know the matchup severely off guard.

All of Squirtle's tricks off of shell shifting are fun as hell too. Planing across the stage, through your partner and catching their throw with a hydroplane usmash always feels amazing.

Ivy's easy to deal with at higher skill levels. Get Ivy off stage, hug ledge to dodge last possible razor leaf, wait for vine whip. Rinse, repeat. I've spent a fair amount of time on Ivy and I can still put some decent strings together (nair mini-spikes too) but it's nothing really compared to Turtle.

Too early to decide who I'd like but as far as previous games go, Ness, Wario, Ganondorf. For new, most obvious ones I guess for several people Little Mac and Megaman but along with Palutena since she seems like almost a pure caster more so than Zelda which should be fun.

It's such a widely played game you will find people at your skill level no matter what. Also I trust your expertise Geno on PT. Squirtle is always top boss.

We all knew he was coming thanks to the leaks earlier this week, but the legendary Ganondorf has been spotted in today’s trailer for Super Smash Bros on Nintendo 3DS. The image isn’t really clear, but if you look carefully you can spot Ganondorf in the tiny circle. No doubt he will be officially confirmed by Nintendo in the very near future.
