Master Hand and Crazy Hand which looks like can then turn into Master Core. Reminded me of Okami-ish, black energy looking ink that was attacking as some creature, then swords, then clone of you, and ends up as a dusty Smash Ball which he had to knock out (was passive and didn't do anything). Not sure what he did to trigger this since this was the first time I had seen him do it in the several runs he had done.

Magiciant stage is amazing. Looks like Mother 1's with Mother 2 (Earthbound) gameplay in the background like as a memory. Hitting the Flying Man building makes him come out and fight with you like from the game. Sick XD

Bowser Jr Final Smash, that Shadow Mario from Mario Sunshine comes out on screen and slashes in paint the letter X what looks like the entire screen, and touching it makes them bounce around on it like a stage hazard that damages them. Was a unique idea I like it XD

He has been doing it. It looked like if you beat the game with a character that has some relation to the secret character it can be fought to unlock at the end. I think he unlocked Bowser Jr. for example by beating the game with Bowser and beating him at the end.

I get the same feeling too, especially since there is a Wii U symbol on the DS's interface. There would be no other reason, to my knowledge, to have such a thing because there hasn't been any announced cross play between the two versions.

That, and the fact Sakurai seems to be a perfectionist and never does anything unintentionally. Those last 2 rows (5 spots) on character select having simple gray around them to me is a huge flag there will be some sort of unlock bonus for people who buy both versions. Though if it is 5 simply for buying both versions that seems like a loss on any DLC Nintendo might want to add in the future. Who knows.

Either way, I can see the likes of Mewtwo and Ridley added via that route. But until then, I am happy with the roster. I'll have my hands full re-learning Sheik that isn't outweighed by a feather and the 5-6 others I want to.

Im fairly certain he's holding cards for when the WiiU version is released.
WiiU has more characters on it, and an update for the 3DS comes out the same day bringing those fighters in.

The WiiU <-> 3DS connection is probably just for transferring/copying custom move sets, and maybe trophies.
