I think 120~ is a solid balance between size and not being really fucking expensive. Staples, for instance, carries a few decent models and between price matching and using the $25~ off coupons that float around on ebay you can end up with something like a Kingston 3K for around $70.

pagefile.sys is managed through right click my comp > prop > advanced settings > advanced tab > virtual memory
