wasn't the five hour run just the guy playing on easy and not exploring areas at all?

Length is one thing but fuck unskippable cutscenes. How any developer ever decides that is a good idea is beyond me.
If said unskippable cutscenes are taking up half the playtime, then woo boy.
If they let you skip cutscenes you'd be skipping 70% of the game, no joke.
So the dude that posted the walk throughs and said it was 5 hours also was the one that said that Wolfenstein: The New Order was only 7 hours when it was more around 12-13
Which it was?
If you want to drop $60 on the PS4 equivalent of Ryse (which was a pretty good game, ignoring its length), you do you bro.
The New Order wasn't 7 hours lol.
This is one dude making this claim while several others that played it has said it was 10-13 hours long. Why you choose to take one guys view over several others is beyond me.
Well I guess if the argument is price vs length im not paying $60 for it anyways.
There's about 5 or 6 other people on GAF saying 5 hours is BS. This guy seems to WANT the game to fail. Lol
Is there ever a game worth $60?
depends on how you define worth. if you're just talking hours per dollar then yeah some are. I mean I paid like a dime per hour of destiny, not much else that cheap entertainment wise. if it's a multiplayer game you want to play with friends who are getting it at launch it can be worth going full price, rather than getting it cheap later but having no one to play with, etc. and then also some element of worth is just "how does the cost relate to my disposable income". for some people 60 bucks for a few hours is nothing, for other people 60 bucks is a big chunk of their game budget.
most of the people who post such short completion times are usually speed running stuff. But it depends on what you value. an 8-10 hour action game is pretty standard (and those usually take me about 15 hours) so long as the pacing is good. And the end game clock usually doesnt take into account deaths and stuff. But unless your looking at an RPG, most games aren't gonna be 20+ hours.
You also have to ask yourself if you have ever actually beat a game in those super short posted times

More bullshit PR. They are hanging onto the movie excuse for dear life.
Let's not forget that we don't know the actual playtime because there's a review embargo on the game. Said embargoes are rarely if ever a good sign.
Embargoes are extremely common. Now when games like AC: Unity has an embargo till noon the day of release, that's when you worry lol
I don't know, most of the major AAA titles that I have seen embargoes for have all failed to meet the hype.
Literally every game has an embargo. It only matters how long the embargo lasts. The Last of Us had an embargo. Was 8 days before launch though.
...you can literally watch him play through the entire game in five and a half hours. Can you watch the GAF people claiming the opposite?
If you're not going to believe one guy, you shouldn't believe any of them, because the guy you refuse to believe is the only one with any evidence to support what he said. The rest of them are people like you who refuse to acknowledge that the game is going to be a short one and/or have a Sony-branded dildo planted firmly up their ass. When ~6 of the 16 chapters in the game are five minute cutscenes, I really don't know what you're expecting.
And yeah, I got done Wolfenstein in eight hours. Great game, but I also got it off the Marketplace for half off.
Its the day before but I get your point.
What? The entire playthrough is on YouTube. We know exactly what the actual playtime is.
I'm glad this is getting shit for being ridiculously short, but it seems like people are just out to get this one for some reason. Especially since every piece of shit Uncharted game is given GOTY when its beaten on release night in similar timeframes.
