Yeah, that's bullshit. This game is going to be $15/month, GW2 is buy to play and has 100% cross server EVERYTHING except WVW(for obvious reasons). SE needs to stop being stingy, if Yoshi-P wants us paying $15/month for a game that should be free to play, he better give us a fucking reason it's $15/month and not free to play. Shit like this just shows this game will not warrant a monthly sub and will go free to play within a year.

Yeah not receiving tells in dungeons is absolutely terrible. The biggest gripe I have about the game.

You can't even send tells to people IN the dungeons. Like when I was with my friend and wanted to say something related to RL shit but couldn't even though we were in the same dungeon. Or if I want to give advice to someone who doesn't understand something about the fight without calling them out in front of everyone.

WOW and GW2 has had pretty much 100% cross server gameplay with guesting and whatever the hell it's called in WOW for months now. They have no excuse that they can't even implement working cross-server tells/friendlist properly. NONE at all.

To add to this: while WoW only started with large-scale cross-server gameplay recently (cross-server outdoors and other systems), Battletags (cross-server ids which allow you to friendlist/party up in dungeons) are close to a year old now. The best part? the technology is even older: realID came out in fucking June of 2010.

Let that sink for a bit. This technology existed before the original FFXIV came out, long before ARR was in development.

If you guys honestly think they wont patch this dungeon tell problem by launch, you guys are delusional. These kinds of problems dont come to mind til the system is being tested.

Also dungeons dont take more than 30 mins to complete. Im pretty sure you can find 5 mins of time between each dungeon run to talk to whoever u need to talk to.

Doubtful by launch, as others have said it's a matter of reworking their server structure. I imagine it'll become a priority (especially with the negative feedback they'll be getting with more people running stuff) shortly after launch but they have far more important things to do working up til then.

I don't see how they can overlook: "People want to talk to each other in a MMO"

Also, if I don't know someone wants to talk to me, how am I going to take that time to talk to them. As it is right now, there is currently NO way of knowing that someone tried to talk to you.
