Can anyone give me their experiences of GLA vs MRD tanking in ARR? Won't be able to get on until tomorrow morning and wanted to give MRD a go after playing GLA through Phase 2. Wanted to know how people felt about one versus the other in the dungeons we have access to thus far.

I can't give you the vs but I can say that MRD was not having any problems at least in the three dungeons. Plenty of moves to grab and keep hate and I seemed to mitigate damage quite well. I'm sure someone else can give you a better opinion but I see MRD as viable at least from the content at level 20.

Just finished my first group run in Sastasha. Standard dungeon run. Thought I would have reservations about the group sizing of 4, but it worked pretty well.

What this i hear about not being able to send tells or use FC or LS chat company while in instances or in a dungeon from the Group Finder? Pretty game breaking if they dont change that shit!

Depending on your town, Gridania it's sold by the vendor nearby the crystal.
Limsa it's down nearby where the docks are, *edit* still in the stone plaza but nearby where the boardwalk to the fishing guild leads to... I can't explain it very well I guess. I'm also at work so this is just by memory.

There are vendors in the main cities. I didn't look for them in Uldah, but in Grid they were near the Aetheryte Plaza.

Yep. Anytime you're bound by duty, lol... I didn't realize the LS chat company though. I thought it was just tells.

Group finder works? Mine is blocked, guess i have to progress or something

You can still use FC/linkshell chat while in guildhest/dungeons. Just can't send private tells.

Too many items on my old char, I have shit everywhere. Which leads to, it would be very nice to have auto inv. sort in atm and gear comparison, I think my DRG AF hands are better then my felt bracers.

Oh? That's not as bad then, screw people /tell bombing me while doing dungeons! As long as Linkshell chat works I dont really give a shit, just wanna be able to see if people log in and want in if you're running dungeons back to back.

Not so fast, it's terrible because it's for EVERY duty bound thing. So if you're doing a quest/mission that duty bounds you, you can't send or receive tells.
Even if I am not going to reply during these things, I like having a log I can go back and respond to people with.

- It'd be fine if it wanted to send a sys msg to the person 'This player is bound by duty' but at least let me see what the person said.
- Or an option to allow tells to come through duty bound assignments.
- Or put the tells in another tab so I can collect them after I'm done.

I can't stand it. Like it's the only thing I've ever had to complain about ARR so far and I don't think it's asking for that much, lol. I even like the tell sound, it's so cute.
