Linkshells are only chat channels now. The guild function is reserved for Free Companies and yes, they will be able to purchase a house.

So the new armory system is now that you can carry 25 pieces of each slot of equipment, but having them in a gear set does still count against that limit, right?
So, I used to know this.
Is there an option that makes the chat box background solid in color? Having it transparent is annoying.
I see the option for the map, but not the chatbars. Help me out! Am I just missing it?
Aw man, my mithra's hair clips pretty badly when using sprint... Hope they fix this
Spoiler: show
Ps3 is more fun then expected but you know the difference
Exemple zoning friend on pc takes 6.9 sec
On ps3 I take 22 sec
Ps3 beta froze 2-3 times for me since yesterday.
Hoping ps4 version eill be good
How difficult would it be for me to start a new character on a server with imported 1.0 characters and still be able to max out crafts, etc. My friend is capped on most if not all crafts and from what I understand due to botting a lot of 1.0 players are capped as well. In XI when I started a year after NA release capping any craft other than maybe alchemy or cooking seemed unattainable. This may be a stupid question, but I never played 1.0 and while I've tried to keep up with arr news I'm sure a lot of the info has gotten passed me.
Are the tabbing filters working correctly?
I figured this filter would only tab through Engaged Enemies while my weapon is drawn, as the template name explicitly says, but it will target far-away enemies which are not engaged sometimes.
anyone know how to start grand company Lv30 leves?
in the patch notes, it says they have added lv30 leves for grand companies and also gave the location of NPCs. yet I found the NPC but there is no locked quest or anything just NPC standing there -.-.
I am Lv31 now
Two questions:
1) I see people leveling from 1~15, but I can't figure out what NPC does it. I scoured the beta forums, but I couldn't find any patch notes that mentioned a way to auto-level to 15 in beta 3. Anyone know about this?
2) I can't find the freaking lv20 levequests in Ul'dah! What camp is it?
It's hard to say at this point because its beta. However, if I were to speculate I would imagine your greatest concern would be ease of access to crystals and mats for leveling.
In 1.0 crystal prices skyrocketed at launch, particularly fire and wind shards, due to the amount of crafts that used them in a lot of recipes. Since few people had access to methods of obtaining crystals this made prices rise even more. Demand was certainly higher than the supply at the beginning of 1.0. Mats were also hard to come by, but for most crafters obtaining crystals whenever and wherever possible was the main goal.
In ARR I would expect a similar situation on all servers; however, a non-legacy server would likely be worse than a legacy one. Prices would likely be higher initially because of players' Gil reserves after 1.0, but once this Gil has been spent the economy should stabilize. This would likely make crafting more difficult in the first several weeks.
Afterwards I would expect finding mats and crystals to be easier because of players such as myself who already have botanist and miner at 50. Essentially it comes down to two evils. Do you want to deal with high prices early on? Or slightly lower prices and low supply for a longer period of time?
I should add that for dedicated crafters it will be more beneficial to choose a non-legacy server if you wish to corner a specific market early.
Put a shirt on?
Plus wtf is the point... are there really that many people starting new characters on the legacy servers anyway? It's just going to be everyone with hideous back tattoos sticking out of their shirts.
this really has you upset
Idk what you guys are talking about, loading time is only around 6sec on PS3 for me... I can't imagine it would be much different on my PC.
I WILL say that often I can tell the graphics are...not up to speed to what a good PC can do on PS3, and I guess I was spoiled by drawdistance in XI because textures disappearing in the (not even very far) distance in PS3 XIV bugs me.
Wish I could play on PC but alas, I need both another hard drive and a new graphics card XD
I would be upset too if I was stuck with the equivalent of a trashy lower back tattoo and couldn't remove it, lol.
