I ran into the same thing, so I decided to try and allieviate it with SweetFX. Unfortunately the latest injectors don't work with FFXIV, so need the Boulotaur2024 injectors which can be found here. Also, you can find various preconfigured settings at the SweetFX Database site. It works great until they can flesh out better solutions in-game.

I'm going to see if I can force-AA with nvidia control panel next test. I just have to remind myself to do it.

If we could get the Steam browser to work in-game, then I could see myself doing full screen (instead of border-less window) in order to take advantage of cross-fire and AA.
