Can ARR run on this Mac? (Dual Boot)

Long story short: I don't have my PS3 with me right now but I'm willing to dual boot Windows 8 on my Mac in order to get my fix.

Before I do so, I need to know from those who already play it if my machine is capable of running the game at all.

    Here's the specs

Processor 2.3 GHz Intel Core i5
    Memory 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Graphics Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
    320gb HDD

    Please help :~

Nope. The rest of the specs are probably fine, but you need an actual video card more than likely.

It's possible... see http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...lt,3263-7.html ... but it's stupidly expensive. That article was written in September 2012 though, maybe things have changed since then.

The technology (similar to ViDock) is much cheaper now if you just DIY vs. buying the premade kits. It's also not the best option for portability (I've only did it once and it was with a Dell Laptop that had a broken GPU and it worked excellent as a workstation).

People were able to run FFXIV 1.0 under Wine without problems over there https://www.bluegartr.com/showthread.php?t=106122 but you gonna need a better vidcard.

    Ran the benchmarking

Yesterday I installed Win 8 on my Macbook and tried running the benchmarking. At first I was scoring around 1700 with settings on med-low. So I lowered the resolution down to 1024x768 and suddenly it started running a lot smoother, scoring over 2000 with medium texturing. So yeah, I guess I can live playing that way for now until I get a PS3 or a proper desktop.

Just an update, I have been playing the Beta for two weeks now on this setup and here are some screenshots

For the record, I set nearly everything on lowest graphics. Resolution on 1024x768 and 30fps. The only real problem is that in such low resolution the HUD gets "claustrophobic" and it's hard to accommodate all the information on the screen. However, I believe I could run it on 1280x800 without posing much problem to the framerate, we'll see next week.
