So I just looked at a villager list for the first time (I've only been playing for a week now).

There are a ton of villagers. I don't even know where to start.

Anyone have any favorites/why? How do I get new villagers; or prevent my favorites from leaving?

I currently have

Bam - He's awesome. Enough said. I like his attitude/love for lifting weights, and he looks a lot cooler than a lot of the other "jocks"

Freckles - Super cute, fun villager

Sally - Same as freckles

[Don't mind but if they left, oh well]
Gruff - Pretty cool goat, but wouldn't mind him going to see what else is around, but if he stayed, I'd be fine as well.

Becky - Didn't like her at first, but she's grown on me. I have her saying fo' shizzle as well, so that's a plus

[If someone has to leave, these guys can go first]
Nate - Don't like him

[Just moved in/haven't truly given them a shot yet, but don't like either based on appearance only]
Agnes - Went to see her unboxing, haven't seen her around since, but just didn't like how she looks. Anyone have any opinions on her?

Graham - I didn't even know he moved in until I had the ceremony for my fountain. Was like "who is this" Talked to him once there, don't care for him, but again, haven't given him a shot. Any opinions?


As long as I can keep Freckles/Bam/Sally, I'll be happy, but would like to hear about some good villagers in general, how to get them/how to get rid of the ones I don't like

CS, new people will show up on their own randomly. Visiting other towns will sometimes result in the villagers in that town moving to yours. They will let you know when they plan on moving, and you can just tell them no. They will decide this at seemingly random times. Making them angry (hit them with the net, push them around, make plans and then don't show up, etc) should increase the chance of them leaving, if you want to get rid of someone.

Does anyone still play this? I had to restart from scratch due to a SD card failure, and nintendo system backup sucks)

I'm looking for fruits to populate my town ( currently have peaches and pears)
