    Traveling to Scandinavia

As the title suggests, I will be headed up there in October for 10 days.

Homebase will be in Stockholm but am looking for fun things to do in the surrounding area or sites to visit for things to pique interest.

I am really interested in maybe seeing the northern lights, some of the fjords, doing hiking maybe. And of course the typical, museums, art, food, culture, and night life.

    Any leads/tips are appreciated

This. Eating and attempting to fuck one or more of the women there are the only two things I'd be doing.

Make sure you check into the undocumented Hostel recommended to you by the dutch guy you meet in the train named Alexi. If you meet some women at a Bar named Natalya and Svetlana don't panic they're really horny.

Try once the Ice Bar near the central station http://www.icebarstockholm.se. Do not stay too long at stockholm, It is a very expensive city. Do not expect to much about meals, the food isn't so great.

Beside that, legends are right. Every two hours or so, I saw the most beautiful women I never seen before.

No not single and traveling as a couple, haha.

Abandon, how far north should I go? I'm really excited about the potential to see them. It's like I'm trying to have my own RL Cammy stage

What is your travel treshhold? Since you specify Scandinavia I assume you don't intend to stick to just one of the countries?

I haven't visited Stockholm myself, but have been told it is "The Paris of the North". I'm not sure if you'll be able to see Aurora Borealis in Stockholm, (one part because it's a (by Scandinavian standards, huge!) city, and one part because it is pretty far south, so harder to see, but not impossible, one of the Swedes will have to answer).

You can use this site to get an idea of your chances of spotting northern lights, though summer half year is not really practical for spotting them because you need to be really far north to see them, but too far north and there will be no night for them to appear in.

Oh, convenient thread. I'm planning to go to Iceland in November. Not technically Scandinavia but close enough.

if you're trying to reliably see them, the further north you go, the better. These were taken in Tromsø, where my ship pulled in for a week to dodge a huge storm. huge like xbox, etc

    Spoiler: show

I live in Stockholm, and yes, it's very expensive.

You won't be able to see Aurora Borealis in Stockholm sadly, you need to head up further north for that. In December you can see it pretty much every day in northern Sweden.

In order to help you with locations to visit, it would be good to know what your budget is. I have to warn you, eating out at even a cheap restaurant will cost 19 dollars per person for the meal itself, and that's excluding a tip and someone to eat.

How old are the two of you btw? Prices change depending on your age, and some things (nightclubs especially) might not be your cup of tea if you're above 25, unless you're going out for the sole purpose of getting laid. I would recommend you do like all Swedes and get drunk before going out, it'll be a lot cheaper that way.

Here's some things I can think of off-hand:

    Naturhistoriska riksmuseet (museum)
    Fotografiska (photographic museum)
    Skansen (outdoor museum)
    Operahuset (opera house)
    Dramaten (theatre)
    Slottet (castle)
    Gamla stan (Old Town)
    Stadshuset
    Riksdagshuset
    Djurgården
    Fjäderholmarna

All of Thore are cheap or free. Restaurangs and nightclubs de horder, Thore are the expressive things. Have fun paying 18 dollars per drink or 8 dollars per beer going out.

Also, it might sound strange, but I would recommend taking the blue line and getting off at the stops. The stations are quite beautiful, the entire subway is a giant art museum.

Edit: I will recommend one restaurant to you though, it's one of my favorite restaurants that serve Swedish food (and even some seasonal food like elk and deer during hunting season) that gives you a good amount of food and is surprisingly cheap ($14), and best of all good food, called Vendetta, which is on Södermannagatan. It's not that Well-known

Scandanavian women are pretty high-tier, but it's different than in America. They don't wear much makeup at all or dress hot as a day-to-day thing. The nightclub scene might be good for that (didn't do that when I was in Sweden and Norway) but just walking down the street everyone was (while thin and pretty) not really "trying".

Very different from "hot" women in L.A.

A lot of Swedes (both men and women) are good looking, but living in Sweden we take it for granted. As a tourist you'll therefor have a pretty easy time getting laid, as Swedes are very open about sexuality, and it's not shunned upon in the same way for women to want to have sex. That, and Swedes love Americans. We consider them exotic.

In Norway you'll have a similar experience, but it's more fun as a man in Norway, as (unlike Sweden) it's standard for the women to buy the men drinks.

As for the makeup, Iunno. Never thought about it, but I suppose. None of my female friends use much makeup, and 2 of them use none and are very pretty. 14 year old girls on the other hand use a lot, but I think that's standard prostitod behavior.
