Storyboards released for the canceled fourth Toby movie. Villains would have been Mysterio and Vulture.
dodged a bullet there...Anne Hathaway was set to play The Vulturess
Why don't people like Anne Hathaway haha
What does that have to do with her acting? Maybe I havent seen her enough, but I can't think of a movie she didnt do well in.
She can be a great actress, but not likeable as a person. Perhaps that could be a factor why people look at her unfavorably in movies. Or perhaps her style of acting is not what people want in specific roles.
her style of acting lol
Honestly I meant she dodged a bullet, cause that idea sounded dumb.
SM4 was also supposed to have Rhino, Shocker, Stiltman, and a couple others as villains.
Shocker? That guy gets 0 respect
Shocker was my favourite villain in Spiderman 2 (the game).
So this will technically still be a Sony film, but with Marvel creative input and characters? I ask this because while Sony COULD still try to pull off an R rated Spidey (Carnage), if Marvel is more involved now, they won't want that much violence in the MCU. Granted, parts of Winter Soldier and Civil War were pretty fucking violent, but not the level of violence that a Carnage film would demand. I'd really love to see Venom done right on screen, alongside Carnage.

They would never do an R rated Spider-Man, Sony likes money.
Spiderman doesn't need to be/ probably shouldn't be. Venom should be, Carnage would have to be!
For a Netflix series marketed to a more mature audience? Sure.
For mass market we want all the money and we want it now? Hell nah.
I don't understand this sensitivity on violence in movies that people bitching about. I grew up in the 80s and movies like Rambo, Predator, Conan, Robocop, Mad Max and Aliens just to nane a few, were part of action/sci-fi/fantasy genre that did relatively well and were watched by a very wide group of people. Granted you would not take an eight year old kid to a movie where Spidey drops F-Bombs left and right, but that wouldn't be in his character to bigin with. And violence in comic books is far more widely accessible to younger kids. So if a movie has few more extra blood splatters or jump scares, doesn't mean it won't do well as a comic book movie. Hell, I would love a Venom+Carnage movie to be treated as a horror film or at least a serious thriller. Throw in Peter Parker, who mind you doesn't shy away from using violence to accomplish his goals. And you got a movie about a teenager who has to face down harsh reality of criminal world and you got yourself a decent movie.
