Edit: Isn't Spiderman technically a mutant too? Not born with the gene but he's certainly been mutated.

Deadpool counts as a Mutant because he had dormant mutant genes and they were just switched on. Peter isn't a mutant because he got his powers through different means. Same way that Hulk isn't a Mutant or the Inhumans.

Thats a good point. I think he was given a healing factor that was made from Wolverines blood. Which, I guess was from a mutant so maybe that makes it still count. I unno

In the comics Deadpool is not technically a proper mutant since he wasnt born with his healing factor.
