#1, being the first, is usually going to have issues. And anyone with a brain can agree #3 is a steaming pile.

But do not be so quick to disregard #2, it's solid, and Alfred Molina's Doc Ock is standout.

I don't think anyone is necessarily say 1/2 are bad just that you wish they'd cut out 25-50% of Peter Parker and would've been better than solid for it.

Not long ago. Spiderman 2 is one of the best super hero movies ever made.

God if that happened I would have left the theater with a massive erection that would have lasted longer then 4 hours. Just sayin.

So in an interview Tom Holland said he took a line directly from Amazing Spider-Man 2 as an homage, seen it twice now and still not sure what it was. Wasn't really expecting to without re-watching ASM2 in between but figured I'd ask, anyone here catch what it was?

Loved it. Really loved it. I really needed a good Spider-Man film and knocked it out of the park.

    Spoiler: show
5 villains, if you include Ultimate Prowler, and it never felt overdone. Tinkerer and Shocker had just the right amount of screen time, cameo from Scorpion sets up the future, and Vulture exceeded all expectations.

Just came back from watching it.

    Spoiler: show
Thought it was really interesting how much they underplayed Tony keeping tabs on Peter. Recording everything he sees, keeping a tracker on him, etc. Reminded me of civil war (the comic) when Peter realizes just how much Tony is spying on him when he talked about Peter's Spidey Sense without Peter actually having revealed that ability to anyone else before, making Peter eventually leave Tony's side and joining Capt. Depending on how the future movies go, it could easily be a plot point used later on

Yeah I thought it was odd the movie didn't touch on that ability at all.

It's left to us to process. There's plenty of potential for stories to spin off but I personally looked at it as both Tony being Tony and emblematic that Peter Parker is so green that he doesn't see his own potential. Potential Tony Stark has already programmed into the suit.

    There's also:
-Tony Stark's very obvious desires to be a father/mentor to Peter. Parental controls on technology.
-Symbolic of taking great responsibility for the great power he has routinely given out to disastrous effect? See: IM2/3/AoU
-An allegory for our attachment to technology without understanding all the workings beneath the surface.

I didn't find it that invasive that Tony was that protective/spying on Spidey since the dude is like 15. Tony recruited him into a fucking war and gave him a super weapon suit, as a sophomore in highschool. There's a lot of liability there and all the oversight seems warranted.

So Marvel is playing a little fast and loose with the MCU timeline, but as of Spider-man: Homecoming it looks like this.

    2008:
    Iron Man 1
    The Incredible Hulk

    2009:
    Iron Man 2
    Thor
    Captain America: The First Avenger
    Avengers

    2012:
    Iron Man 3

    2013:
First Third of Agents of Shield Season 1
    Thor 2: Dark World
Middle Third of Agents of Shield Season 1

    2014:
    Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Final Third of Agents of Shield Season 1
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1

    2015:
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
    Agents of Shield Season 2
    Daredevil Season 1
4/5 of Agents of Shield Season 3
    Avengers: Age of Ultron
Final 1/5 of Agents of Shield Season 3
    Jessica Jones

    2016:
    Daredevil Season 2
    Luke Cage
    Ant-Man

    2017:
