So I live right on the border between Missouri and Kansas and about a week ago I started getting phone calls from 10 diffrent people, All for the same person that's not me. I'm guessing that someone recently got a new Cell in Kansas that has my same number but with the Kansas area code over the border. Any ideas about what I can do to stop this?

Also, you could try calling the right number and making sure the person knows to give out the area code when they are giving out their number, as a lot of people are getting it wrong. A text message might also get the point across if you don't want to talk to them.

Years ago, the phone book printed a friend of mine's phone number wrong, and people kept calling that number and asking for Curt Campbell. Almost a year goes back, and he calls the number and says "Hi, this is Curt Campbell. Do you have any messages for me?"

May, 7th, 8.12AM: Your girlfriend. She says she's sorry for the scene last night, but you could at least talk when she calls instead of just breathing heavily. I tend to agree with her. A lot of shouting afterwards, didn't really grasp any of it.
May, 8th, 2.12AM: Your brother. Said something about "dad being rushed to hospital", gave an address and hanged up immediatly.
May, 8th, 9.12PM: Your brother. A lot of expletives. From what I gathered, he's pretty angry that you didn't go to your dad's bedside. I tend to agree, that was poor form.
May, 7th, 3.12PM: Your girlfriend texted: "you're a creep. Tonight, we'll have a long hard talk."
May, 11th, 7.12AM: Your brother texted: "dad died 4 hours ago. Could've told your sooner, but I figured you didn't give a toss. Fuck you. Funeral's saturday at 7PM, in case your grow a fucking heart in the next few days and wish to attend."
May, 13th, 11.12AM: James, a text. You're disinvited to the wedding, apparently.
May, 14th, 4.12PM: James. "Don't you know the meaning of disinvited, dickhead? You're lucky I didn't want to cause a scene at my own wedding or I'd have kicked your ass on the spot." Hanged up immediatly afterwards.
May, 15th (sat), 7.12PM: Your mother texted: "I have one son."


Strangely enough, calls rarified for a time.
Jane called for a few days, but it didn't last.
Then there were those old mates from high school. I heard a few punches were thrown, you really shouldn't have told Jim you hooked up with his sister back then. She was only 12, man!
